What a game! What a battle! We kept hanging in there and gave Purdue all they could handle. The two Edwards for Purdue shot light out behind the three point line. That was the difference. Corey and Geo were brilliant out there and Williams, Freeman, Eugene, Doorson, Doucore and Issa, gave it their all.

After this tournament if anyone questions Pikiell's coaching ability they need their head examined. What we saw in the B1G tournament is what we can expect now from a Pikiell coached team; defense toughness and mental toughness. Yes, the season was a roller coaster. Yes, we had games we scratched our heads and said, "same ol'" but after watching the heart and soul of this team lay it out there for three straight nights, we are in great hands with Pikiell and staff.

Now, if I can wish for anything for next season, is one more year for Corey. I can see Pikiell playing a three guard set with Corey, Geo and Mathis. When you add Myles in there plus Eugene and the improving inside/outside game of Thiam there's no telling what this team is capable of.

Finally, I saw this team gel in this B1G tournament and grow up. Kudos to Williams, Freeman and Sa. I wish them well in whatever endeavors they pursue. And if Corey goes, then I wish him only the best (he still needs to learn how to go to his left--LOL!).

I know we don't like moral victories, but I am so damn proud of this team and what they accomplished. Tonight they had me on the edge of my seat. Go RU!

He was a monster wasn't he? Yes, he hit the proverbial freshman wall. Yes, he's been battling the flu. But we are in GREAT hands with this kid. He's fearless and smart. I look forward to him taking us to the NCAA tournament in a few years.
