If any of this is true, that flood was told not to contact the professor, or that there is a rule in place not to directly contact professors, and he did, then he deserves to be fired for being so stupid.

This is the age where people keep emails and photos and posts and tweets forever just so they have some ammo in the future. Coaches teach the players not to tweet or post anything that could in any way be considered inappropriate - and he goes and does this.

It is a major difference between having a relationship with professors and inviting them to practice and emailing a professor about an academically ineligible player's grade.

I'm sorry but i cannot be supportive of Flood if any of this is true. I truly believe there should be a wall between the coaches and the players on one side and the profs and the student athletes on the other. I am not saying he did anything wrong as we don't know the facts. But if what the press has said is true, i have no sympathy for him.

At most, I could go along with a suspension of the first half of one game. I don't think he did anything wrong and I am more interested in finding the rats who keep turning on our state's university (both inside and out).

The wall should work the other way too. Professors should not be commenting on the athletic programs. Revenue sports bring money into the university and stimulate alumni giving. It would be like me complaining to my CEO that I didn't like the business ventures that company was committed to.

there are appropriate channels - support staff who are responsible for this. it is not KF's job to do it.

GTFO of here with your nonsense Kenny. The only thing Flood did wrong was care too much in a world where that's not allowed.

Flood fell victim to the same thing everyone praises him about - an honest, caring, family man.

It only takes one prof with a stick up his ass to turn Flood's innocence into gray area violation.

Stupidity didn't stop you from posting.

Do you ever drive over the speed limit? Did you ever park or stop in an illegal spot? Did you ever J-Walk? Basically equating what you are saying about Flood being fired for his minor rule breaking indicates that if you did any of these illegal things you should be given a lethal injection.

Kennyschiano another of the , "I can't support Flood "...as someone else pointed out Kenny....you have been anti Flood from the beginning...
The man is being raked over because of Rutger's inept top leadership...far worse at many, many , many P5 schools ...so don't come around with your
effort to make this worse than it was...

unlike tim pernetti who went on a limb for mike rice on espn and looked like an idiot, the powers that be are beign smart and keeping their mouths shut. that was pernetti's downfall.
