They're playing PSU close, but more importantly, they're passing the eye test. No way our D is going to stop their tricky offense.

Triple option offenses are hit or miss, hopefully we prepare well

We aren't very disciplined on D it will give us fits. We also aren't forcing TO's. Tighter game than we ever expected coming into season.
Army also isn't committing the 100 yards of penalties that keeps setting us back.

Penn State being back is an absolute myth, at least for this year. They just happened to play a decimated RU team that was doing its best to play its poorest.

PSU is missing the two running backs, both of whom are injured, that rushed for over 300 yards against RU, PSU is very one dimensional today on offense.

Half of PSU is also injured now, we should beat Army by at least 3 TDs

We've been playing against and preparing for their triple option for years. RU is at least familiar with it. When was the last time TTFP played any of them?

It was better when you were banned...we will beat Army ...
Why? because, he stating an opinion, that is not beyond the realm of reality, If we are better than a field goal favorite in this game I would be surprised, add to that, we probably have the worst d coordinator in P5.
really sad.

They lost to Fordham, UConn and Wake Forest. I'll say we should beat them.

All loses were by a combined total of 10 points. Army isn't a good team but they aren't Norfolk St. They will make bonehead plays like you rarely see but they are getting their blocking down really well (especially the open field stuff around the edge). Armys main problem is secondary (they lost their best DB to injury after a fight with another Army player)

I saw the scores but it's like a reverse murderer's row. Will we blow them out? I don't know but I think it should be around 10-14 pts at least assuming we don't have any critical injuries.

WOW I can't believe people are here making excuses for why the game is close. You have got to be sh*tting me if you don't think we have far superior athlete's to Army. What we saw against psu was a travesty. Our wonder child OC decided it would be a great idea to run 20 plus times straight into Zettle and Johnson two future NFLer's. What does Army do try and attack the edge not giving it to the fullback where it would be an effort in futility. We saw time and time again Army line up correctly and stop psu's offense with fundamentals. Our genius of a DC can't even get our guy's to line up correctly. No this is not about who's hurt or not playing, more about we have two coordinator's who have no business being P5 coordinators'.

Army played well today. Hard to determine what that means for our game in late November but it does make me more angry about our effort against PSU a couple of weeks ago.

Don't believe that we will lose to Army, but if we do then RU fans can make plans for a Kyle Flood going away party at the end of the season. With the way the rest of the B1G schedule is likely to play out Flood may lose the last of his supporters after a potential Army loss.

This. Absolutely no focus or discipline with this year's RU football team.
New Staff should change that.

Congrats, OP, you win the most pessimistic post of the day award! Not just a prediction that we will lose to Army, but a flat-out statement that we can't beat them.

Ridiculous.

Yeah, even I'll admit to that. Let me rephrase: if Army played the way they did today and RU plays the way it's played to date, Army will likely prevail in a tight game.

I think Hicks could run for at least 150 yards versus Army. And Martin for about 80 yards.

That's a better pessimistic take. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I did not watch a lot of their game today, but I am sure that not having their two top RB made a big difference for PSU. If we have a healthy Hicks and Martin, I still like our chances.

At least Maryland looks to be worse than us!

I'm less optimistic about Army and Indiana today, but still a lot of ball to be played between now and when we meet them.

Not that much time. We play at Indiana the game after Michigan State.

Anyone who thinks Army will be a cake walk is a fool, and some really think if Flood loses to Army THAT will be the final straw? I think there's been WAY to much already. Time for change.
