I think this is the first time it is conference based, so I guess we lose for a different reason. Too bad Mamu is a Georgian. The US could use a sharp shooter like him.

I think this is a big mistake. The Big East is really down this year. The only Big East team in the Top 25 of the AP poll or the Coaches Poll is Marquette. The Big 10 has 7 teams in each and last week had 9 in one poll. I am not saying the Big 10 should be the league representing the USA but surely the USA team has its best players in the Big 10, the ACC or the Big 12. We should select our best players from the entire country. I have serious doubts that selecting 12 players from the Big East will be our strongest team to represent our country. I sure hope they can represent us well but I just don't see it happening.
