If we Clean House, Look No Further Than NIU for New A.D.!

lol first of all I am a republican..secondly Im assuming every AD will hire one of their contacts...now did Julie HAVE to hire a fat white man to appease you, because Sarah happened to be gay too that's an agenda..who the f cares, only prejudiced people do. Sarah was part of a big fundraising team for Missouri. She had credentials. Its not like Julie said..ooooh I have to hire a lesbian. Julie is just like anyone else hiring people she may know. No one gave Bob or Tim shit for hiring their guys but all of a sudden Julies have to be questioned. You are bring her sexuality into the equation. Julie didn't work for Louisville for 15 years because she was gay. She worked hard and built a resume that was worthy enough to take a leap as AD. The fact that Julie has not even uttered anything about being gay or done interviews except for mentioning her partner in her bio says she is not about that

I know Sarah. Sarah is a friend of mine. And you, sir, are no Sarah.

Barchi played sports at GTown. I don't think he is against athletics, I think he is against spending on them...if Nick Saban said he'd come to RU if Barchi completes the Grease Truck challenge for 3 cents, Barchi would probably try it lol.

Really again we can't judge, and I won't until Flood is fired and replaced.

Not surprised this thread got way out of control, but the bottom line remains the most qualified person was not the one who was hired. Doesn't mean Julie -- assuming she sticks around -- can't do well here, but she was not the most qualified and there is reason to dislike the way she was thrust into the process.

it was obvious that bac was a republican ,he didn't have to mention it, and by the way when does julie do any interviews about anything???

People can argue the JH or Wisconsin guy until, the cows come home. I agree the deck was stacked in her favor with some ridiculous questions but she is more than qualified. Remember, the Wisconsin guy made some questionable decisions that make emails look silly. She ain't the best but better than what we've had. If we make a change her deck so and hire is her defining moment.

IMHO ANY HC would have to have some huge cajones - with all that he was given and all that went down re: e-mail scandal - to reject a lower buyout at this point. I would take half, on top of the couple millions I've made the last few years, and walk away from here a very, very happy person, to not have been "fired for cause" and get nothing else on top of my last paycheck.

who cares, that's not her job...you were fooled into thinking ADs were all about the limelight ala Flashbulb Bob and TV Pernetti.

You use to love Pernetti, you didn't like Julie at first, you do a lot of flip floping
don't you?

People don't get to change their minds as they learn more about a situation?

When I first heard about the Flood email thing, I thought it was a trivial issue that would blow over with Flood getting a slap on the wrist. But when I later learned about secret meetings, multiple emails, avoiding OPRA, and being specifically told by the academic advisors not to do what he did, I reassessed the situation and I guess I "flip-flopped".
