This will be the first time in 10 years we will not be able to go to the first game. Fukcin work! I am not familiar with ESPNnews. Do you need a password or is there another venue to watch the game-BTN2go, etc.?

....it is a pay channel on cablevision so what I do is order the package its on and then cancel the same day.

It's only available on a pay Cablevision channel?

It's really wierd too (can't speak to the other companies) with cablevision - I actually get the sports package, but believe it or not ESPN News is not included in that package - you have to get a whole separate package to get it....perhaps I should substitute the word 'wierd' with 'frustrating'.

I'll unfortunately be at Hershey Park with the kiddies on game day. Is there an on-line stream (audio) of the game?

I'm not going to be able to make the first 2 home games; have work this weekend and next Saturday is a triple-whammy of my daughter's 1st 'game' (Mayor's Trophy exhibition game) for cheerleading, the team I help coach's subsequent 'game', and my nephew/Godson's 3rd birthday party.

...should be in the house for Kansas though.

If you can't be at the game and have tickets, pleeeease get the tickets in someone else's hands--either by selling or donating to someone who normally couldn't go to a game. NOT telling people what to do--just a request.

ESPN News is on the Watch ESPN app/stream.

Strangely, my Comcast system still lists a channel as ESPNW (women's sports), but the programming is all ESPNN -- just a heads up if you can't find "N" on your system, try "W".

Don't know if you've done this before, but Check with Cablevision - my brother's provider charges him more than the month rate if he doesn't keep it for at least 2 or 3 weeks.

Because I 3 kids under 4yr old and the TV does not come on while they are awake, I listen to the games up here in Boston on cell phone (WCTC). Love the play by play by Chris and Ray Lucas!

Ray is the man. Love the guy.

Ill be steaming live from Kabul at 830PM local time! My Tour ends this Sunday and ill be able to make all the games after Washington State. So pumped!
I know that feel. Noon games EDT were bad because the bandwidth was taken up with everyone Skyping home. The 330PM EDT games were ideal because nearly everyone's asleep. The 800PM EDT games were the worst (in my opinion) because you had to wake up early and by the time the game was getting close to finishing the lag really ramped up with people Skyping their families before going to work.

Damn shame that AFN didn't pick up the game for even a late night repeat. But fear not, you'll be able to watch UTEP at Arkansas on AFN Xtra!

Now THAT is wonderful news! (Both that you'll be able to stream the game live, but more importantly, that you'll be coming back to the good ol' USA soon.)

Thank you for your service, keep safe, and even though it might be a very short bit before it happens...WELCOME HOME!!

Can I ask why the tv can't be on while they are awake? I get not wanting your kids sitting in front of a TV all day but never heard of not ever having one on. Why not just send them to the park with mom?

It is just a philosophy. We all raise kids differently.

Yea, I get that but I was asking what's behind the philosophy?
Reading, writing, coloring, painting, playing for toys, playing outside, just using your imagination. TV will be introduced after kindergarten. Then it will be very limited. At that point though, with school, sports, studies and musical instruments, there won't be time.

ok but I still don't get why you can't watch a football game while they do all of those things. I don't let my kids drink or smoke either but it doesn't keep me from having a beer and a cigar in the backyard.

I tried doing the same, but it's hard if your spouse isn't on the same page.

Three kids under 4? :flushed:
1. Just turned 4 a couple of weeks ago.
2. Turns 3 in Feb
3. 10mo old.

We are trying to set a good example so they build good habits now. I don't want my boys to turn out like a dummy like me buy watching TV all the time and playing Super Nintendo until my eyes bleed in the 80s & 90s.

So, I listen to Ray Lucas and Chris Carlin while the kids are banging around the back yard, while I'm sitting on the deck reading the NY Times.
