Will Waldo be there too lolSecret meeting between Darmstadt and the Rutgers staff at Quaker Steak after this match
Who made you the board police? You need to get off your soapbox and High horse.Big difference between being critical and making your criticisms personal ..to repeat the same things all the time about a kid who is doing the best he can is not helpful ..didn’t realize this forum was just to be critical of a kid instead of a little encouragement ..really sad that some feel the fun has been removed since you feel you can’t be critical ....lol. That kinda says all you need to know about some guys real reason for being here
You have become as bad as Creedo. Every time someone has an opinion you need to step in a chastise them for it. It’s a Forum, it’s a society of free speech. As long as things do not cross a line you really need to calm down and stop High jacking every post. This board has become unreadable and you are as much to blame as others. You have your opinion I have mine ...saying a kid doesn’t belong on the mat , can’t ride a 6th grader, etc ...and many more for weeks on end ..the RS of JOJO ...how many times is the kid gonna get ripped along with his father for the kid wanting to wrestle if he beat the incumbent ..he earned his way on the mat yet guys like you were like parrots repeating the same damn line ...call me names ..do what you will ..scroll back a few weeks and see how bad it had gotten towards a couple of these kids ..I speak my mind about personal attacks on kids doing the best they can ..of course relevant critiqueing is normal and I spoke up when it got beyond that ..don’t like my opinion then don’t read it..early on quite a few acknowledged it was gonna be a down season ...it’s been just that ..we don’t have a team laden with senior talent yet you expect kids to perform as such ..they are young ..they read what’s said about them ..why make a kid feel worse then he already does ..that’s my point ..
I was responding to something directed at me ..just like you just did lol...get your facts straight before mouthing off ..Creedo critiques were way over the line against two of our wrestlers ...it was so far over the line two parents heard it and got involved .that should tell you all you need to know ...BTW ...I wasn’t only one to call him out for it ..if you really feel it’s unreadable then don’t read it ..You have become as bad as Creedo. I wasn’t the one who removed the thread so I’m obviously not the board policeWho made you the board police? You need to get off your soapbox and High horse.
I hope that it doesn't happen, but I think Princeton will become the consistently dominant team in NJ. Bothers the hell out of me. Is there another major D1 wrestling program for the top state university in any other state that seems to struggle as much as we do in getting recruits from its best home-state high schools?
Iowa has a historic attraction that Rutgers doesn’t have. Also, for better or worse, New Jersey’s culture is heavily influenced by being proud of its own and a Rutgers team composed primarily of guys from out of state just doesn’t seem right. The Hawkeyes have exactly 0 starters from Iowa. Recruiting well within your own state isn’t an absolute necessity. You can can still have a very successful and competitive team as long as you can lure a few highly recruited wrestlers your way, no matter what state they come from.
Not all states are equals... PA, NJ, and Ohio generally create the most wrestling talentThe Hawkeyes have exactly 0 starters from Iowa. Agreed, Illinois is a good wrestling state too..the point with most of these out of state recruits are that they were the top blue chip recruits.. all the guys u named were the cream of the crop.I agree, but that doesn’t mean that a few elite wrestlers can’t change your fortune. I’d throw California in your examples as well, some great wrestlers from there that left the state: IMar went to Illinois, Zahid to ASU, 2 Nevills brothers 2 PSU. Probably lots more that I can’t remember lol.

You don’t need to just recruit from ur home state.. just get the best guys and yeah try to keep the best guys in ur state
