A number of great comments and questions have been raised about the SKWC. These comments and questions are a reflection of a rabid fan base and the success of the program.
As a non-profit 501(c) 3, there are specific rules the SKWC must follow to maintain our tax-exempt status and ensure that contributions are tax deductible to the extent that the tax code allows.
Currently, there are a number of opportunities for fans to support the SKWC. They include:
(1) Joining the Pin Poll with pledges per Pin currently ranging from $1 to $125
(2) Becoming a SKWC Member at the $25 or $150 Level
(3) Participating in the SKWC Golf Outing on August 13, 2018 (See SKWC Website)
(4) Fund Housing for a Resident Athlete at $6,500
(5) Fund a Resident Athlete at the $24,000 to $42,000 level
(6) Help Fund the Joe Pollard, the Volunteer Coach
(7) Help Fund Billy Ashnault, the Director of Operations
(8) Volunteer in support of the SKWC
(9) Register for and attend the Team Banquet on Sunday April 8th (See SKWC Website)
If you have an interest in supporting items #4 thru # 7 above please contact Doug Dolan or Andy Sisti who lead our advancement/development committee.
If you would like to discuss volunteer opportunities, offer suggestions, or ask questions, please email me. Answering questions by message board can be confusing. Members of the SKWC Board are available are to speak with you on an individual basis.
By June, we will by announcing additional fundraising initiatives with opportunities for supporters of all financial means to participate. In addition, we will have a clearer written description of the SKWC including its importance to the future success of the program as well as what the SKWC can and cannot do. We will distribute this to all SKWC Members as well as anyone else who requests a copy. Please email to receive a copy.
Finally, upon behalf of the coaches and the SKWC, thank you for your support, enthusiasm, and ideas.
