I watched them against UNC and what really concerns me is their guards went after UNC guards and had them running offense 30+ feet from the basket and were contesting every pass. I feel that is Rutgers 2022-23 Kryptonite.

If we we win it will be 55-51 type of score.

I think we need to score more. I see nothing from our defense to show that we can keep Indiana in the 50s, they would really have to have an awful shooting night

We need to ride the crowd to a hot start with some sharpshooting from 3...get us into the 2nd half with a lead and keep shooting

Because we own Indiana. UNC could not hit the the shot last night and played a really poor game especially Caleb Love and RJ Davis their guards and were still within 8 points late. Plus I guess you forgot that we are playing from home. Let’s see it before proclaiming something in fact that has no basis in history. How far back you want to go , 2 years, 3 years , 4 years , back to Corey Sanders poster slam in their faces ? Where’s the history ?

So you say it and maybe it is true but Corey Sandwrs ate them for lunch as well so it goes back 5 years. I am not saying your opinion might turn out to be true, but I would like to see it against us at home. You are normally the person that says show it to me before I can claim it to be true. I guess it is different for you all of a sudden.

I don't think our dominance over Indiana will have any impact on how all of the players play on Saturday. I admit it's a pretty odd stat that we've beat the Hoosiers 7 out of 8 (I think), but Ron and Geo are gone, and Indiana is a legitimately good team this year. Moreover, our supposed strength -- Cliff -- will be neutralized by Trace Jackson-Davis, who is a much better player and a shot blocking machine.

Even with Paul, this would be a difficult game. Without him (likely), we're the underdogs even at the RAC. When the Prediction thread comes out, I will be predicting an Indiana win 72-66.

After what Ron did on their court there will be zero letdown. If I am Indiana I don’t want to just beat Rutgers. I want to win by 30 and embarrass them.

What really concerns me is they have the personnel to make us look bad offensively.

This is not Archie Miller any more. Woodson year 2 fortified with freshman. This will be a tough as nails team and a terrible match up for us. Forget the Indiana teams of the past 5 years. This is different.

Indiana is a much better team this year than last year. Saturday could get ugly.

I agree with all that except. We aren’t scoring 66 points. That can be taken to the bank. I am hopeful that we won’t give up 72.

Its quite possible that the game might be similar to Iowa last season when both teams scored less than 60 points.Playing in front of a hostile crowd might cause Indiana to shoot bricks which gives Rutgers a chance to win with less talent.

ACC is trash this year too to bottom. Duke their only good team deserves to be ranked about 20th. That’s it. Virginia has good D but will be exposed against anyone with a high scoring offense and could bow out rd 1 of the NCAAs, not impressed

I happen to think Cam will be at least as good as Geo. How do you expect to replace one of best RU players ever RHJ? Who did you expect Pike to bring in? He has Simpson this year and Gavin next.

And Indiana currently has the 2nd best team shooting percentage in the nation (55%), while Rutgers is ranked 249th. (43%). Indiana also has the edge in 3PT shooting, ranked 78th (36.7%), vs RU 266th (31.7%). It may be a long night if RU can't shoot well from 3PT and if they don't shoot better from 2PT than they did against Miami... (18-46 from 2PT, 39%).. I don't know if the home court advantage can overcome the various advantages that Indiana seems to have going into this game, all things considered.
