Here was the OP, and as of the time of this posting the following 17 posts agreed (or didn't talk down RU). I learn about the outside perspective of RU from this and other places, so this was interesting. I always expect someone to slam us, but it seems some folks think there is potential here to jump into the "Tough 4."
In the old days it was Ohio State & Michigan who were the BIG 2 and the other 8 teams the Little 8.
In today's 14 team conference, it looks like this:
BIG 2: OHIO STATE, MICHIGAN STATE
Tough 4: Wisconsin, Nebraska, Penn State, Minnesota
Little 8: Michigan, Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, Maryland, Northwestern, Iowa, Rutgers, with only the Scarlet Knights looking like they could jump up a notch.
