Interesting Read - Coach Fleck

Yeah, in a word, we missed the boat by not hiring him. Great read. Aw, go take a look. We won't tell.

Any chance you could summarize for those who are not enamored with the website which shall not be named?
He credits Schiano with making him a head coach, but he is a combination of all the coahes he worked under.

He learned about "FAMILY" at Rutgers.

His "row the boat" thing came from losing a child at birth. (of course I believe it is really "keep choppin" under another name... strange he did not mention that with all the influence he credits to GS and Rutgers)

ESPN Gameday is at Kalamzoo next week.

Former Rutgers OC Kirk Ciarocca is his OC. Another former Rutgers coach is on his staff (coaching staff, wise-guys.. beat you to it).

Is not necessarily gonna move "up". Thinks WMU can be the Boisie State of the midwest. (though the BSU coach evntually moved up.. and was just top 4 before losing to USC).

"Greg Schiano taught me so much about how to demand so much from myself and others."

He also mentioned who he mentored at RU as the WRs coach. He really had some good ones during his short stay here: Sanu, Colman, Wright and Pratt.

Well at least he taught 1 member of this coaching tree that much.
Kind of ironic that PJ Fleck, who left the banks of the Raritan is rowing the boat to greater heights, and the guy who got left behind caused us to sink to major lows and left us with years of flood damage. Maybe Ash's hashtag should be #DrainTheSwamp.

"he's seen the light...HE'S SEEN THE LIGHT!!!"

Nah, I just see irony. Everywhere.

Almost had another member of that coaching tree Mario Cristobal as the RU HC instead of the one that didn't pan out.
Thinking about it now, maybe Fleck would have been a wise choice when replacing Flood.
At the time I didn't think so, but looks like I could have been wrong seeing how PJ's Broncos look this season.
Mario not so much, but maybe being under Saban for the last couple of years after FIU gave him the boot would have made Mario worth considering as Flood's replacement .
Hopefully Ash is the right choice, even if the tree he's from didn't grow in Jersey :D
