Well. I am sure he has his reasons lol
So no need to air that dirty laundry
As for schiano 2.0. You said you wouldnāt allow your son to go play at Penn state and the culture that Paterno perpetuated there and the child rape.
Schiano was part of that culture and was employed there when it was happening. Itās not a stretch to think schiano knew what was happening and was aware of the coverup at some point before Sandusky was arrested. But even if he didnāt know (cmon you know Greg , you really think a detail guy like that doesnāt know lol )
Schiano still also waxes poetic about paterno - he did this pretty recently too - on the Longerbeam podcast. . Kirk C also recently worked at Penn state and your son would be part of his unit. So you would have no problem allowing your son to play for a guy that was employed there at the time of the coverup and another that took a job there after the coverup . Schiano even still
Says paterno was a mentor.
Your statements are contradicting and make very little sense.
You say it's not a stretch to think Greg knew, but it also is possible that Joe the enabler was able to allay Schiano's fears with a plausible excuse because Greg trusted that man.
Like everything there are always some willing to think the worst because they want to, then there are those who give the benefit of doubt because they like the person being accused.
In both cases the anti Greg and the pro Greg don't have to know Schiano personally, they go by how they feel he is running the Rutgers football program and base their opinion of him on that.
As for VICK what he done will have many college football fans want their families to have nothing to do with him , refusing to give him any slack when asked what they think of hm
Then there will be those who feel he served his time and give him the benefit of doubt when it comes to his being rehabilitated
I'm in the group that won't give Michael Vick the benefit of doubt , because i don't know if he changed and is trying to use his influence to help stop dog fighting or just spoke out against the dog fighting industry for favorable PR when trying to return to the NFL and after he did and people started accepting him, he didn't continue to be a voice helping to stop dog fighting because he didn't need the favorable PR .
Just doing the time and being released after it's done doesn't mean he changed, ot just meas he earned a right to reenter society and live a productive life.
But that doesn't mean he should be eligible to be a big influence in young men's lives , to do that he must have proven he has changed his values and the only way he could do that is being actively involved ion stopping the industry he once was a part of and was sent to prison for.
I haven't heard he's doing that and that's why Vick doesn't get the benefit of doubt from me.
As for Schiano? I heard many times about how he cares for his players and that earns him the benefit of doubt when it comes to knowing about Sandusky or just suspecting and having his suspicions explained away by someone he trusted that was hiding what was doing on from everybody
