As a student and tour guide, I'm in agreement with the OP. This is the entrance to Livingston campus, where we bring prospective students and their families on a daily basis. Love it or hate it, the business school has a "wow" factor. This truly does look extraordinarily drab and like Busch campus brutalist architecture. The appearance of our campus matters, and this isn't going somewhere out of the way, this will be the first building people see coming onto Livingston campus. You don't need a building to be extraordinarily decadent on the outside to look nice. See: The Honors College, the new Academic Buildings, etc.
Thank you first for being an ambassador to our university and working to get prospective students to come to RU. I'm well aware that it is the first thing you see on Livingston along with the business school. My point was more towards recruits. The average student is not using that facility and while a select few might the importance around athletics is the amenities indoors. Google practice facilities and many have a similar look but the inside is what wows people. Red R or Rutgers lit up will be sufficient. When it is all said and done I doubt people will be unimpressed.
