Is there a realistic path to a post season tourney?

Funny. We're more likely to get an extra win playing on day 1, but to do that we need to lose more lol.

So why would teams from lower conferences pay to enter?
Don’t they have even less $ than the big conferences?

Great question. North Texas won it last year and they entered with a losing record. I guess they need to find 16 teams who are willing to lose a decent amount of $. The attendance at the games were really bad. The worst is there is a 2 out of 3 final where both teams obviously have travel costs and have to pay to host. I think some travel costs are paid by Gazelle.

To have a shot at the NIT...

I really think we will would need to be 9-11
And therefore 16-14 heading into the NIT...

I think you would need to win in the big ten tournament gets us...to 17-15...and then I’m not sure that’s enough
Sounds about right. I was think 18 wins should get into the NIT. That’s a stretch for this year.

Looking at the remaining schedule, I’d sign up for at least 3, hopefully 4 wins to get to 7-13 and 15-15 before Big 10 tourney. Seems possible.

We need 5 wins to get to 8-12/15-15.

Before the season started, I figured we'd go 8-2 OOC and 7-13 in the B1G to finish 500. The loss to Fordham means we need 8 B1G wins instead of 7.

Mike is correct. We need a really big run like we did in 1989 but now we are in the BIG rather than the Atlantic 10. We really need to slow down. One game at a time please.

True, but would be great to get in the 10/7 game or 8/9 game and have a chance to go for one win coming in fully rested and get to the QFs again.

Ah yes you are right, we went 7-3 in OOC.

Imagine this board now if we had beaten Fordham and NW (only 2 giveaways this year), 4-5 and 12-7

Just a hunch but I think our conference will not be considered as strong as people thought come years end.
