Jeez we lost a meaningless bowl game by 3. Lighten up. Future is bright.
It sucked but will be easier to get over than most close losses.
Hey, it could be worse. Could be basketball. Imagine half of the football starters being top 3 kids and we don’t even make the postseason. Yeesh.
Somehow we have two defense minded coaches... and neither the football nor the basketball team can play defense.

It’s not a matter of growing up. By my math, it’s the last 31 - 35 years of on field results that is the issue.

AK also struggled must of the game, especially late. And our line started to fall apart

Rutgers stopped playing the offense in the 4th quarter that built the lead.
Kansas State pass defense was vulnerable, and we forgot about it during the 4th quarter.
Many of the young players looked great today and we can all look forward to a good season in 2025.

Eh whatever. Had we won, the narrative would be “who cares, it’s another meaningless WGAF bowl win?” Since we lost, it’s apoplexy abound. We’re onto Ohio.
No, we just couldn't protect the QB. We had no answer for their pressure.
It’s disappointing but people need to stop with the self absorbed whining. The team is competitive, Kansas St was one of the favorites to win the B1G 12 this year and RU was very close to beating them. We need more speed on defense. More athletic LBs and DBs. Need some explosive DEs. Offensively, need to keep getting better up front. The skill players on offense are getting there. RU is not going to be a playoff caliber program but we can get to a major bowl in the next 3-4 years.
The future has been "bright" for the past 2 decades. It would be nice to see some results soon.
This is part of the of the problem with our program. Fans that don’t believe we can be a playoff caliber program. You best believe we can and we will.
That's not possible to do if you want the program to have a good team. Our record is the same as last year's and our games are ugly to watch. It's not that we're losing, it's how we're losing and how we beat ourselves when we have potential to be a legitimate Big Ten threat.
A mental break from RU football is completely understandable in my book. So I'll write my own pages and turn them when I'm ready, thank you.
RU needs to first hire a playoff/championship caliber AD, one who has worked at a program that has experienced major success. From there, that AD needs to hire playoff/championship caliber head coaches.
The "future has been bright" since 2006, and nothing essentially changes from year to year as we lurk from one mediocre season to another. And 7-6 in your fifth year as a coach is nothing to write home about. The truth is that Schiano is a .500 coach, and it is unlikely that this will change at any point in the future. He is who he is.

So true, my son said “man that sports program is cursed” when I told him about KSU game, I said tell me something I haven’t known for 33 years.
This fanbase loves mediocrity. I see posts on the premium raving about tonights offense performance and the future of our young guys..what the ****
I guess that is why we all love each other on this board. The misery our alma mater brings loves the company even when we are pissed off at each other. 🤷♂️
