Football Joe Harasymiak to be UMass next Head Coach

I actually know Piana, he is a good guy, he made mistakes and is open about them.

Tem was on staff after all of that happened.

The guys on the podcast said he has a 3 year , not 2 year contract.
They are wrong, a simple google search shows it was a 2 year contract signed in Jan of 24, also the Minnesota 247 board all the mods & posters say it is a 2 year contract & most believe he is returning to RU

He did a great job here at RU. It is a big loss. I hope that Mohamed Toure stays here for his final year.

RU should do like other big programs, grab a current FBS head coach tired of the position and hire them as a coordinator.

Come on down, Fran Brown :)

(Yes this is sarcasm with 0 chance)

Harasymiak is expected to agree to a five-year deal worth between $1.3 and $1.4 million annually, according to sources.

Harasymiak comes to UMass at an intriguing time of transition, as it enters the MAC in 2025. The administration has dedicated significant funds to assuring better success as the school, which has not had a winning season since elevating football to FBS in 2012.

UMass will have nearly $2 million in NIL/revenue share for the 2025 season and $3 million for 2026, according to sources. Those numbers are guaranteed, according to sources, which means they don't have to go out and fundraise.

Harasymiak will also have a staff pool of more than $2.7 million, according to sources, which projects to be the highest staff pool in the MAC by a significant amount.

In the 13 seasons since elevating to the FBS, UMass has never won five games and won four games just twice. Don Brown was fired after going 6-28 and Walt Bell went 2-23.
So where does that $2 mil NIL rank relative to other MAC teams?

Bama was getting coaches picked-off every year when Saban was there.
Position coaches and coordinators dont stick around long if they are any good.
Nobody is forever in cfb
I read the coach bios on Wiki and its scary how many times these coaches move after a year or two

Monken turned Army around when he came rom GA and packed the team with southern players.
Army went from 2 guys from GA to over a dozen in 1st year and over 25 total from the southern states.

This was before Michigan but for a long time most NC teams were from southern states
