Nice to see him get significant playing time and his first touchdown. Since Agudosi and Patton have had minimal impact in Rutgers passing scheme and lack the ability to create separation, Harris should get much more playing time over them. Frankly, I have a hard time recalling when the length of Patton and Agudosi has mattered in Rutgers passing game.

Need to get younger players with speed and play making ability the ball and more touches..including Bailey...
Harris is one of those kids..get him more involved in this rebuilding year! Patton and Agudosi both have trouble holding onto the ball and are not spread type burner WRS..Harris fits the power spread speed scheme better.

We still need a big WR to vertically stretch the field. They both need to step up big time and be that hard match up. We need a WR who can be on his own and demand a double team of a CB and a safety.

Get Harris and Grant on the field at the same time. Too much speed to be covered.

You can't stretch the field if you don't have speed. Harris might be as fast as Grant. Agudosi not so much. Tim Brown might have only been 5'7" but he stretched the field very well. Just ask UConn.

All your WRs can not be 5 foot 6. And yes Tim brown can stretch the field in a different way that our two giants with bad hands can. We need one of the big boys to be able to go and be on the line and play the press like a monster. You can not always put grant, or harris on the line because they will eventually meet a big CB who will jam them up. They need to be protected by being off the line so they can use their quicks.

LIke a lot of you I see Harris as part of the long term solution. Like Oden, they should play him a lot this year.

Juwann is going to be a player
Juwann will be a big time player for Rutgers. Put him on the field with Grant and you open up more opportunities for Grant since he can't then be the total focus for opposing defenses. Seriously , does anyone believe that opposing defenses scheme for anyone other than Grant?

I agree it was good to see Harris get meaningful reps. Not sure why the hate for Agudosi. He was pretty wide open a few times yesterday, but CL had trouble seeing him or delivering the ball.

Let's get one thing straight about Patton and Agudosi neither are speed demons, but if the QB at least throws the ball on time they have a good chance of catching it. Speed guys like Grant and Harris get open because the defense respects the speed by backing off. They come to the line with a 5 yds cushion and the short passing game plays into their strength. Plus the do have the ability to blow past defenders which creates another nervous situation for the defense. If the QB can consistently get Grant/Harris the ball in space, then Patton and Agudosi become more effective in their routes. Also, Laviano has to set his feet and stop dancing every time he drops back. All most every throw is off his back foot and a half a second late on the pass. Go uptempo on offense and everyone benefits from it.

This.
Tim had incredible speed along with the fantastic ability to make difficult catches.

Agudosi, while I admire his passion, has stone hands.
Hand - eye coordination seems to be hit or miss. Some just don't do well in game situations. I thought I saw a lineman (on Hard Knocks) walk over to the pass machine and tell the coach to crank it all the way up. The balls were coming out like rockets, he caught them all, and one-handed, no less!! Some teammates yelled out if he could play TE.

Agudosi helped win the Indiana game last year.
Spot on on this one. People have short memories here. It's good when you want to forget bad plays/times, but it's not good when you can't remember the positives. He dropped a ball yesterday, but he didn't drop anything last year. His length helped him come back on a couple of underthrows last year to take the ball away from defenders. He also did get open deep a couple of times for throws when Caroo was sidelined.

Totally agree.
Height doesn't matter if the WR can breeze past the defender.Ross did it to us and proved the point. Run fast, get open ,catch the ball. TD. The exception would be in short yardage Red Zone, jump ball in the end zone situation.

Don't get in the passing drills with the jug gun he's hanD's are like glue
Yeah, Elmer's glue....
