We have our own problems here, but here is a team that opened up preseason as the #10 in the AP. We all know they are always overrated, so forget that argument. They set their schedule up with 9 home games. Who in the Country has that advantage? They currently sit at 2 and 4. 5 of their last 6 games are at home and I still don't think they go bowling. The remaining schedule is Stanford, Miami, Navy, Army, VA. Tech and away against USC. 6 wins seems impossible to me the way they are playing now. And even if a 5-7 team is being considered where they might need to fill a hole, where are the Irish going to win 3 games out of this. I just don't see it. Kelly's seat has to be real hot right now.

I would take Brian Kelly as a HC in a minute. He took ND to a national championship game, even though he lost that game to a college/pro team it doesn't matter. In my humble opinion ND would be crazy to get rid of him.

Gary Danielson told Francesa on Friday that he has put out feelers about the LSU job.

My main point was that he has every advantage in the book and he is still not winning. Can someone explain that. I don't care what he did in the past. You need to play for this year! Are they ever gonna! We will see. Getting beat by Duke and NC. State can't be going over well in South Bend.

Les miles also took L.S.U there. I just do not see him on the sidelines anymore when I'm watching the Tigers play.

Maybe he needs more film. Send somebody up onto that scaffolding to get the job done.

And didn't he lose his top player to a sexual assault charge? I could be wrong on the details.

I don't know the details either, but Kelly has no excuse to lose. Ash could come up with plenty of excuses, but he don't. That's how I know he will turn this around.

Besides this season they have been winning at least 8 games since Kelly's 3rd year there I think. They aren't winning this year agreed, even teams with big backing go through downs. Before Saban got to Bama they hadn't been that good since the early 90's. Look at Texas too.

When we played N.C. State in the Papa John's bowl in Birmingham, I had spoke to an Alabama fan (this was pre Saban) and he was disgusted with the program. He went on forever about it and was hoping to land a great Coach. He did! I know big programs have down years, but just look at what happened to Les Miles after his outstanding career record with L.S.U. I'm not saying N.D. will fire him. I'm just saying the seat has to be hot. Losses to Duke and N.C.State in back to back weeks? He is gonna have to come up with some good answers for that. And if he does not make a bowl game with 9 home games. That adds even more fuel to the fire.

No ND player has faced any sexual assault charge

And, yes, ND fans are getting restless.

Not sure where you get the notion that ND plays 9 home games. They play 6 games at ND this year.

How can it be allowed that ND can play just 3 true road games in a season. Ridiculous.

Well Prince Shembo pretty much raped a girl and then she killed herself.

Not sure what your sources are, but he touched the breast of a woman with serious emotional issues that had previously attempted suicide. He did not "pretty much rape" anyone.

This is not the case. Check ND's schedule anywhere in the internet.

Typical Irish fan bullshit.
He apparently wants us to believe that playing Army in Texas is a true road game.
He wants us to believe that playing Navy in Florida is a true road game.
He wants us to believe that playing Syracuse in New Jersey is a true road game.
irishflu92, did you think you weren't going to be called on your misleading posts?

I suppose we disagree as to the definition of a "true road game". I consider a true road game to be any game that is not on one's home field. You apparently consider a true road game only to be a game that is at an opponent's home field.

The Army game is being played in San Antonio because there is a large US Army base there, and the Navy game is being played in Jacksonville because there is a naval base there. Those locations were jointly selected with the respective opponents. As far as Syracuse, I don't know why that game was played in MetLife Stadium, but Syracuse likes to consider itself NYC's team, so I suppose they think playing there will give it a possible exposure/recruiting bump.

Personally, I think Michigan's schedule is more troublesome--8 home games, 4 road games

Well I'm sorry about the 9 home games. I should have said 3 away games. Yes, I'll take the hit on that. But I still know things have to be troublesome in South Bend after the last couple of weeks. That is the real issue here. And you are right about Michigan's schedule.

I feel so bad for Kelly and Notre Lame...
NOT!

The ONE game i can ever for them in (against the steers) they lost...
