They possibly exceeded the amount of the original budget for assistants and need to get more funds. Also may be the contracts of Knight and Karl Hobbs are of a high enough dollar amount that they need special approvals.

I was thinking that may be what's going on too. $200,000 more for assistant coaches was not enough if you are trying to add more than 1 high profile assistant. They possibly exceeded the amount of the original budget for assistants and need to get more funds.
The most connected guy on this board said to expect something by Tuesday. Wait till then and worry on Wednesday.
Its hard to believe that Knight is working at the RAC and that can't be confirmed by a reporter visiting the facility.Someone said they knew B. Knights been at Rac allready working for several days..I wouldnt panic..

Whoever told you this is either lying or has no idea what they are talking about. He is not working without a contract and the school is not keeping his hiring a secret.Someone said they knew B. Knights been at Rac allready working for several days..I wouldnt panic..
the bottom line is that its Rutgers...you worry until it happens
I think that was a joke...Someone said they knew B. Knights been at Rac allready working for several days..I wouldnt panic..
May be the open positions need to be posted on a hiring board since RU is a public institutionmaybe we need Rutgers Al to take a review of all the vehicle liscence plates to the assigned parking spots in the Rac lot?..and we can get more info! LOL
we should leave it as evidence that something worked out in our favor. Can we change the thread title now?
Sources at Rutgers telling Sergeant that it's premature to say he'll be on the staff..
He says further, that he just knows that some things have to be worked out..
While that may be the employer/fan view, the employee will want to make sure all the details are spelled out and in writing. There comes a point where this just needs to get to closure -
either the details are resolvable or they are not
- the longer it goes on as an uncertainty - especially during the signing period - the more it urgently becomes a issue that simply needs to be concluded one way or the other - how it gets resolved becomes less important than simply having it resolved & getting on with taking action on multiple critical matters
I heard that they canceled the RAC AC to pay for Knight. Now we're stuck!I believe he is waiting on the RAC AC to be finished before signing on the dotted line.

Yet another hiring melodrama. It is really a two way street - at this point it has been unclear as to source of the slow progress - with the limited details, it could be just about anything - could be either side -
Hope that there are only one or two simple details remaining that amount to mere formalities.
