Kratch: Stay Off Your Phones, Rutgers

I saw two girls (absolute rockets too and they got on the jumbotron at one point singing) sitting courtside at the Northwestern games, guests of a couple of our players who for 2 hours straight did pretty much nothing but look at their phones and take selfies. It was kinda funny because one of our players made a big play, and i'm guessing one of these girls was his guests and he went to look over at her while running up the floor and her head was BURIED in her phone, she was also taking pics of him the whole time. it's a real problem, that's why I only post after home games that i attend. I never take my phone out other than halftime during games, it ruins the game.

Agree with you on keeping my phone in my pocket during games. I occasionally may peak at stats during a football game but that is it.

During football games I'll sometimes text people watching the game at home who have access to replay, and will occasionally check stats on timeouts and at halftime - but there's much more downtime at a football game. Basketball I rarely take the phone out other than at halftime.

Do people here take out their phone while at the game and post on this board? Seems kinda pathetic.

Was wondering what those chicks were doing there. Good for those players.

Those girls are welcome back any time.

We were amused that the elderly security guard planted himself right in front of them during timeouts.
