Basketball Rutgers Basketball holds off Saint Peter's with late defensive surge

Missing free throws, not finishing fast breaks, bad calls by refs. Type of game we usually end up blowing because of that. Hopefully this team is different

I usually don’t complain about officiating, especially during the game, but these guys suck. They have missed four or five offensive foul calls on moving picks by Saint Peters, we’ve gotten crushed a couple times inside the lane on breaks, and that was the worst jump ball call. I’ve seen in 57 years.

Bad decision by Dylan to try and split the defenders and take a difficult bank shot instead of dishing to Derkack on the wing for an easy layup

St. Peter’s is legitimately impossible to officiate. They foul on every play. The refs are obviously not going to call them everytime. Incredibly frustrating
I noticed that too. They aren't above going straight for the hands. Karate chop; the pincer; just a straight up body check; etc

I can't see them calling a flagrant but I wish that play was out of the game.

I wouldn't call this "shitty", persay. Rather, it was a rock fight that we didn't appear to be taking seriously until halftime. And our guys didn't look ready, at all.
Agreed. But I'd call that shitty.

Just a sidenote: we only have five fouls in the second half with two minutes to go. Maybe we need to be a tad more aggressive lol!!!

This is not an NCAA team. They lost to a terrible Seton Hall team. And UMass Lowell. This is not a good St Peters team. Quad 3 at best. Probably quad 4
They won their conference last year (NCAA’s) and I’m pretty sure expected to win it again this year.

i hate to say this...because he was marvelous last yr. but, williams prob should be second or third off the bench on this team
Someone was saying this all preseason and they might be right... he's not the best fit as a ball dominate non shooter
