Let’s pack the Garden vs Purdue

I could not go tonight - though I am about 20 blocks away.

I plan to go Friday to support the team.

I would be looking for 1 ticket to buy ... anyone? I know this is not the right Board, but ...

There's no excuse but family. You are a fan or you are not.

What makes you think that it wasn't by design? took them out of their game plan and their offense....here's a question ... how many of our players fouled out?

i didn’t go tonight, I admit. The weather forecast had me freaked out. And lots of others too apparently. We’ll be there tomorrow however. This team is playing good now and will need us all to beat Purdue.

What did last nights weather have to do with anything? I thought the Noreaster was today/tonight and isn't it indoors?

I’m convinced that we lose by 30 if I go to the game. I’ll meet up for drinks at McGettigins before.

If you thought the refs screwed us tonight wait till tomorrow when they need to protect purdues ncaa seed.

Can we stop complaining about refs? It's so sad.

And they didn't screw us, we made overly aggressive defensive plays despite being in good position most of the time. We had more fouls called on us because we committed many more fouls. Nobody screwed us.

What about the two obvious goaltending calls they didn’t make. The first one obviously hit the backboard before being blocked, and the second one was at the top of its arc.

well that puts your opinion in the minority. I don't usually complain about them but last night was bad. I'm not talking about the blocking calls...you sighted the obvious. But we'd touch a guy and get called, they'd bump off Corey and nothing. The 50-50 ball on Mike late? The touch by Shaq late? It didn't even up until late game (a bit) and then because they had to foul.

And I guess you should include our coach who apparently approached the league on the matter.

I'll say it again, if you live in NYC or central/north jersey no excuse not to go.

This team can beat anyone and thrives off the energy and support.

If you're on the fence just do it.

IIRC Indiana had "only" committed 2 (maybe 3) fouls with 2:20 or so to go in the 2nd half. 'Nuff said!!!!

(** they quickly committed 3 straight at that point...)

Another poster gave a chant prior to the Indiana game. The superstition continues.

MSG, the place to be...Because we believas, despite the zebras...hey Prudue, we comin for you...you'll be sorrey, when we give to Corey...you'll say "no mas" when we frustrate the Haas...Eugene "With a Kiss", Scarletnation in bliss...The refs may be bias, to you're man Mathias...But nothing can stop, Williams with a pop...Deshaun playing smart, will warm the fans hearts...Cheers will fuel legs, Geo's fatigue reneges...Thiam from "downtown", or he'll post up around...A huge ovation, from Scarletnation...It's all the rage, on the big stage...RU with the win?, it can happen again.

Both of those are extremely debatable.

The 1st one was NOT debatable. it had hit the back board. The 2nd one was closer.

How about 2 key calls that went against us crunch time--Williams and the IU guy both going for the loose ball and Freeman grabbing the ball while he was standing still and getting a foul? Either of those could have cost us the game. The Williams play should have been a no call and the Freeman play was a jump ball that would have gone to us IIRC

How many times did IU get away with walks? how many times was Corey hacked with no call.

They were abysmal.

Not everyone can take train. I gotta drive. My last train back is at 11:18 pm. Too close for comfort. I’m driving up to Harrison Path from Monmouth County. Some people might get scared when they hear the words power outages, trees falling, bomb cyclone, and life or death situation (cnn).

It's not on the NJT website yet, but CNBC just showed the Hoboken station completely flooded out.

Hopefully we all have a smooth commute tonight, but budget a little extra time, and check online for updates before you head out.

I'm literally in my office around the corner and DID NOT know the station is flooded out hahaha!

I was apoplectic after that call on Freeman. He literally was called for a foul for standing stilll with hands up and getting rammed by the offensive player with the ball. That was nuts!

Trees don't fall on the Parkway, they have salt spreaders, and there are no trees in Harrison. No excuses. Eff the weather.

Everyone should try and make it if they can. Even if we get blown out it's worth it. This is an opportunity to show the country that when Rutgers is even the slightest bit relevant, they can be a giant. We need to make our presence known with strength in numbers. You won;t see rutgers at a conference tournament in the garden for at least 5 years, especially in the quarterfinals so people should be doing what they can to get inside of the building

Dumb question...if I buy seats through Vivid, can I still pick them up from the place across the street up until tip of our game? Or does it shut down when the session starts at 6:30 or whatever?

Picked mine up after 8pm yesterday and I think they were shutting down at 8:30pm.

Definitely check though.
