Donner with a takedown halfway through the first period. He leads 2-0
 
Tuman gets the escape, but not before he gets hit for stalling. One minute left in the first period, Donner leads 2-1.
 
Donner with a single leg on the edge of the circle as time runs out. He makes it a 4-1 lead.

Tuman taking injury time, it appears to be his knee.
 
Donner breaks free after 45 seconds. He now is out in front 5-1. One minute remaining in the second period.
 
Donner quickly back in on that single leg, and finishes on the mat for two more. 7-1, Donner.
 
Donner with a tough ride to close out the second period. That will get his RT just over a minute.

Donner leads 7-1, and will start the third period on the feet.
 
Donner gets to a single, once again, to get another take down. He now leads 9-1, with 1:30 left in the match.
 
Donner gets another, and now has RT locked. Donner lets Tunon go to give him the escape. Donner keeps it on the feet as time runs out, to win 12-3.

Rutgers now up 17-3

I like Brett Donner a lot. He definitely has work to do to be a Big Ten-quality talent, but he shows promise.
 
Officials reviewing the takedown call for Covaicu. I can't see this one getting reversed.
 
not sure he will wrestle much next year, but who knows. He has won the spot this year...Needs to make NCAA and make it hard to replace him next year.

For sure. He isn't there yet but hopefully he can continue to work hard and develop. You never know.
 
Covaicu gets the two that time off of his cradle, but Scott is able to escape just before time runs out.

Scott riding tough, but Covaicu escapes after being held down for a minute. 3-1 Covaciu with 40 seconds left in the period.
 
Covaciu finishes the period on top, keeping the match at 5-1.

Scott chooses to go on top to start the third.
 
Scott hit with a stall warning, then lets Covaciu go on the restart. Covaciu quickly in for another takedown. 8-1 Covaciu with a minute left in the bout.
 
Escape for Scott, making it 8-2. Covaciu looking for the major as he is back on the attack. He score a take from the front head. 10-2 Covaciu.
 
Covaciu lets Scott go, and cannot take Scott down. However, Scott gets hit with a stall, giving Covaciu the major 11-3.

Rutgers still leading, 17-7.
 
Billy Janzer now up for Rutgers at 184lbs. He will wrestle Jake Hinz of Indiana.

No score the rest of the period. Janzer still leading 2-1 over Hinz.

Janzer quickly up and out for the escape. Hinz back in on the attack though, finding a takedown of his own. That ties the bout at 3-3.
 
Hinz rides tough on top the rest of the period, keeping Janzer down, and the score tied.
