Made it to Indy! Let's Go RU!! Made it Home, too and thanks to the players and coaches on a great 2 seasons!

I haven’t been to Medici’s, I’ll have to give that a go.
Glad you made it to Twin Anchors! Impressive that you found room for the hot dog too.

One final question…have you put back a shot of Malort?
No shot, sorry - read about it and it sounded horrid, plus I'm not a fan of hard liquor straight up anyway. Did get to the 360 Tilt thing on the 94th floor and to Johnnie's Beef, though- will post about them later - flying home shortly...

Spent a lot of time at Medici's when I was a grad student. And man are those Chicago style hot dogs great! Can you believe the Robie House is 115 years old! Apparently their neighbors wouldn't speak to them after it was built because they thought it was atrocious!
Yeah, the guide also said that after the first 18 years housed families (3), it was then converted into dorms and at one point was an alumni building and UoC almost tore it down, as it was in a bit of disrepair, but fortunately it got rescued and eventually restored.

Malort is polarizing; even people who don’t like it will agree it goes down easy. Gentle floral flavor on the front end. The issue is the immediate aftertaste—very bitter on the finish. We’ll get you to try one when RU is playing here in a tourney game one day.

So, Day 6 was a short day, as we had to get to the airport by about 5:30 pm. Two highlights from the day. First, I did the 360 view and Tilt on the 94th floor of the former Hancock building, where one stands next to the building glass and that section rotates so that one is at about a 45 degree angle looking down on the city. Was fun although not as "scary" as advertised.

Then after walking around the River neighborhood we were in one more time, we Ubered to one last stop on our Chicago trip before flying home last night - possibly the most important stop - Johnnie's Beef in Elmwood Park! Ate there on my trip 2 years ago and today did not disappoint as I once again experienced one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Their Italian beef combo with hot sausage and hot and sweet peppers is simply superlative...and their fries are great too! Thankfully, the flight home last night was uneventful and we actually got in early. Great trip and thanks everyone for the recommendations!
