Marques Ford is a goner I think.

Interesting player. Had a tremendous tape but he was so much bigger and stronger than other kids I wondered how he was going to respond when he played against kids bigger and stronger than him. Shame if he left.

Not good... A talented DE prospect. Our only 4 star recruit last year. Via Tennessee

If true he's got to be homesick, I mean he was redshirted so he could put on weight and by all accounts was expected to be on the two deep. I just don't understand kids transferring or decommitting from the defensive side of the ball. Getting a head coach who is a defensive guy has to be a player's dream on that side of the ball. You know your going to get great coaching because your head coach will make sure that side is taken care of. Unless of course your going to another team with a defensive head coach(Pitt).

Here we go again. Can we for once not panic and follow kids like a puppy dog. It's like feeding he rumor mill food. And if it happens it happens. Would hate like heck to lose a player with his potential. If there may be some validity here one would hope Ash could convince him to stay thru spring practice to see how things might play out. Unless he goes to an FCS school he sits a year so give the spring a shot.

And as has often been said....opinions are lIke a**holes..everyone has one. But let's not try to speculate and add to the rumor mill.I bet thst most people here don't really follow twitter..but I could be wrong.

Listen, it could very well be happeninging but I simply think it's bush league to put it out there. If kid wanted it out there he or the school would have announced it.

I don't follow twitter at all, but a player opens himself up to speculation when he removes his college from his account, so he should
not be shocked if fans question.

Eh, never really expected him to stay, to be honest. Guys transfer, especially kids recruited by Flood, from the south. Pretty high transfer rate I'd bet.

Just as long as he doesn't go to Pitt I'll be okay!!! Not for any reason other than I am sick of that Pitt flips thread popping up everytime I log in.

So according to Twitter, us and Florida are finalists for Dwayne Haskins and Paul Rhodes is going to be our DC. What I have missed? You guys really don't know how to use Twitter well. Oh yeah, Pollock is opening up his recruitment. Remember that dumb thread after Pollock retweeted another post of a different recruit who posted his top six?

Sorry to say I know how to use Twitter.
But pretends it's fine if it makes you feel better.

At the very best this is creepy even if you are claiming to do it under the guise of fandom.

I never inderstood the "this is creepy" argument. These recruits, movie stars, average Joes, whoever, set up public Twitter accounts with the intent to broadcast to the world. How is it creepy if some of us in the world check out these public broadcasts to see what these folks are saying or demonstrating about their level of interest/commitment in our favorite football team? If this material is not intended for public consumption, then these Tweeters shouldn't broadcast to the public at large. They or their parents, if younger than 18, should make the Twitter page and Tweets private if they don't want the material observed by the public.

I took my employer off my twitter profile. Though I'm still employed there.

Thus means nothing..and ZERO reason to think he's a goner..just my opinion.

Your "public" vs. "private" argument does not support the opinion of it not being "creepy". Athletes or not, anyone over the age of 26 following an 17-21 year old on Twitter is odd. (I actually find it odd that anyone follow anyone on twitter.)

"Following" someone on Twitter is a term of art, and I am not referring to officially following anyone. Although I am not sure that is creepy, necessarily. I don't have an active Twitter account and follow no one.

I am suggesting that occasionally checking into a publicTwitter page to see what a recruit has advertised about himself recently is not in and of itself creepy. Sure it could be done to a creepy extent but so could most human interaction.

For example, I don't think viewing a Hudl highlight video that a recruit has posted in his Twitter page is the same as reading his diary.

Some people on this board are just out of touch with reality. Reality is twitter plays a big role in recruiting. If you wont believe that, I am guessing youre born prior to 1960.
