The huge home opener against the iconic Iowa Hawkeyes wrestling program is a mere 3 hours away ! An expected near sellout crowd of close to 8,000 wrestling fanatics are expected to welcome Tom & Terry Brands , coaches, and the rest of the Iowa team !

Much speculation on matchups , mostly if U-23 World Champ Richie Lewis is ready to go (unknown possible injury) and IF so, at what weight....157 against #3 Kemerer, or at 165 against highly touted Freshman #13 Alex 'the bull' Marinelli.

I can , if you like. I figured with all the live online outlets (BTN plus/Flowrestling) plus the RU student run WRSU.com doing live pbp by online radio, updates wouldn't be that necessary.
Also, RU wrestling twitter (no account needed) does a great job with updates.

But I can add some comments, sure.

I'm getting ready by drinking Causasians (white russians, lol) and listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers live at Sloan Castle. I was supposed to go to both the RU W BB vs SHU /then hit a bar until the wrestling match, but my buddy bailed at the last minute. I don't drive buzzed anymore, so regrettably will watch on BTN plus/Flowrestling.

PS- just heard from Screwy Louie (Lazzeri, NJ wrestling historian and NCAA pop figure) that he is at the RAC, and trying to get BTN Plus let him do commentary, Louie works au gratis for Flo at many tournys. IF Paulie Walnuts from The Sopranos was an NCAA/ NJ HS wrestling / International wrestling expert....that would be Screwy Louie.

Flo has bought the rights to all BTNplus events this year. One of our posters here is a partner with Flo, it seems. JH
