This is frustrating to watch. Outside of Ashnault, this has been a really disappointing year. We are about as bad as we could have reasonably expected.
Weaknesses in the lineup really start to show once the Big 10 dual season starts up.
Yeah....that knee won't be 100% at all this year. Kid had to get minor surgery on it so just to be out there is a feat.
i know for long time wrestling fans it may be different. However I want to win duals as much as see our wrestlers win titles. It is not worth watching we are as bad a team as w have had recently. I think this team has to have you concerned about recruiting and development. I dont care how to allocate money. There is no reason we should have this many weights that arent, or arent looking like big ten wrestlers.
Leonard did a good job talking about this recently. Last 3 recruiting classes haven't exactly met their potential. Missing out on that many consecutive classes really puts you behind the 8-ball when competing in the best conference in the country.
Not much for moral victories, but that is a good match for Glasgow to build on. White has looked great this year.
Clearly, why isnt that a concern regarding talent evaluation going forward. Was that discussed
Oh, its definitely a concern and something that has been discussed pretty often on the board. Some fans are more concerned than others, but it's clearly an issue that has to be addressed. Easier said than done.
Hopefully we have a high hit rate on these next two classes if not we better damn well start hitting the transfer wire hard. Even next year, plug some holes with transfers because there are going to be quite a few.
