there's been some talk on here about him. It's rare that a kid actually wants Rutgers to chase after them. Seems he hasn't heard from the program in a while although an offer was made. Having seen him play several times I definitely think his toughness and strength is something RU can use. And it doesn't hurt that he comes from a winning program

I guess the answer must be that Rutgers has a over supply of talent .

Kid reminds me of Anthony Glover. Tried to get him through the clearinghouse when The Maniac was our coach but never could. Wound up at Iona and had a terrific career. Playing in the BIG with playing time available seems like a no brainer. What gives?

recruiting NJ is a foreign concept to our coach and staff. The kid is begging for a little love to come here and we cannot even do that properly.

This is nice to see. I started the other thread on Matt and several guys ripped me that he wouldn't have a chance against big guys in our league. I have watched high school and college basketball for over 50 years and I know toughness when I see it and I know good players when I see them. This kid could help us. He doesn't back down from anyone. I pointed out that Phil Sellers made first team Associated Press All American as a 6'4 and a half inch power forward and that Rashod Kent out rebounded guys 6 inches bigger than him. Most people don't realize what is often in the heart of a competitor. In my opinion this is a no brainer. I always attended the old summer clinics of the top players in the nation at Princeton and at FDU. One summer I went to FDU and they were charging like $200 for the programs and info on the athletes. I asked Gary Waters if he could tell me who two particular players were who impressed me. He said in shock, "I can't believe it you just picked out two of the best players in this camp after only watching for a few minutes". That made me feel good. I think I can recognize basketball talent when I see it.

This would finally get us a NJ player and into the good graces of one of the top teams in NJ. Last year I recommended Eddie to take a look at Otis Livingston. He said he would. This year after a Court Club meeting I asked Eddie what happened. He said he and his staff really messed up on that one that Otis was the best player on the floor for George Mason in their scrimmage against us.

this is exactly the kind of kid I want here...a guy with bulk who wins big games..it is utterly disappointing that he made the comment that we would want to go to Rutgers but they have not been in touch with him lately...are you kidding me Eddie? no follow ups with a guy a stones throw from the RAC

Jesus Eddie seriously? Get this kid into the program, NOW! We're giving scholarships to unrated, un-ranked from Ohio but not keeping in touch with this kid? WHAT THE F*CK???!!! :chairshot::chairshot::chairshot::chairshot::chairshot::chairshot:

Definitely need a kid who would run thru a wall to help his team. That kind of play gets addictive too.

Gil Biruta was that type of player and was a fan favorite, but Gil was 6'8"

I like the kid from Ohio. How about we're giving out ships to kids from Lincoln HS who were recently shot and haven't played?

Offer and sign EJ.

Yes he can shoot. He scored 26 vs. Linden and had I think 14 rebounds and he made a couple threes. He is very good.

Come on Nuts....try to keep up, lol. The kid from Ohio has a Wisconsin offer for 2017, they just want him to prep for a year.

Matt Bullock's stellar senior season continued as he went for 22 points and 12 rebounds going against Miles Bridges, a McDonald's All-American headed to Michigan State.........

this thread is funny, this board destroys Jordan for getting Dailey (a guy with heavy interest from several Big 10 schools for 2017), but then destroys him again for not going hard after a guy with this offer list.......

Wagner, Robert Morris, Fairleigh Dickinson, Davidson, and San Francisco are the schools currently recruiting Bullock, though Rutgers, Monmouth, Rider and Binghamton offered him previously.

It's getting real silly....if he committed 2 months ago this board would go Nuts and post his offer list over and over again.

my problem is that they are not in contact with him..even if they decide to move on, not checking in is a problem..same problem Elmer had

Sorry but I do not believe in "offers contingent on prepping." Never have, never will, regardless of sport.

No disrespect, but, I'll take the word of Rivals recruiting analyst Russ Wood over your " beliefs". He is the one who mentioned it. I think he knows a few more things about recruiting.

If you want to take him because he is from Roselle Catholic that's fine, but, don't tell me a 6'4" forward is a higher priority than 6'6" and 6'7" guys with length like Dailey and target Aleem Ford....once again, Russ Wood said that some view Ford as a high level D1....some view him as mid or low level.....there was no consensus, those are his words.

The kid from Lincoln High in NYC gets you a foothold in NYC.....you can make an argument that Bullock and him serve similar purposes.

I also believe he also said he wasn't surprised about Sanders

Don't remember that statement. I remember him saying some schools backed off, but, he never mentioned a reason.

Wow.....I've never seen people turn on a Player this fast for missing some classes or smoking some weed.....the two logical reasons for the suspension...not fact, just my thoughts. PLUS, he is coming back.

There are lots of examples of guys being sent a message by the coach with a suspension and then coming back with no additional issues...no guarantee, but, it happens.

When Jordan says this was a learning experience for Sanders, I, agree and think he will learn from the mistakes and come back focused. It certainly lessons his appeal to other schools....he'll stay, learn from his mistakes and come back with a vengeance.

my bad, I wanted to make sure I was right and the word he used was "predictable"

and getting 4 games is more than a minor suspension..its a big deal, not a game..you don't see suspensions like this too often. So excuse me if Sanders isn't endearing to me right now

So, maybe it was smoking weed and missing classes.....they kinda go together for 19 year old college kids. The only thing I'm concerned about is how he learns from this experience.

Wouldn't this be the 3rd time Sanders has been punished?

This might not be Jordan the coach's fault
This could be Jordan the recruiter

well but for most they aren't getting suspended so I question maturity and commitment and iq

WOW...making a judgment about his IQ...that's a first....unfukinbelievabilty. That may be the most idiotic thing I have seen anyone post....but, I think I know what point you are trying to make and it is shameful, a disgrace.

That's impressive, except for the fact that Miles Bridges will probably become a much better player at Michigan State than Bullock would ever become here. Because he'll be playing for a real coach that actually develops talent, and people will forget this when Bridges is reducing Bullock to ash in B1G play. And they will wonder why the guy who went for 22 and 12 against a McDonald's All-American in HS looks like he doesn't belong on the same court with him a year later.

??? what the heck are you talking about...the kid doesn't have smarts..is that more politically correct for you, its a disgrace you bring up the race card..are you kidding me here? You are the disgraceful one. The kids smarts or IQ there I said it again are questionable if he pisses away an opportunity starting at a power 5 school showcasing his skills for the NBA. He is getting a free ride as a tremendous talented player with a shot at the big league yet he is already pissing it away with bad choices and poor decision making. We don't know what happen, we can all take guesses on what it might be but if you get in trouble once for something you certainly are not showing high iq by doing it again

what about losing his starting job

I recall that, here's what Jordan said:

The Big Ten’s leader in scoring among freshman, Sanders came off the bench in the loss to Wisconsin after what Jordan called “a bump in the road to maturity.”

“He’s got tons of talent,” Jordan said. “He’s very animated. There’s some humble pie he needs to taste a little bit of. We’ll see where it goes. We’re at practice today and we’ll see where his head is today.”

Whatever.....never heard of anyone questioning IQ of a player for a suspension.

Your lengthy and defensive response says it all. End of conversation.....back on ignore.
