Heading down to Port St. Lucie at the end of March. Would appreciate any helpful advice, including getting my kid some autographs, restaurants and things to do unrelated to baseball.

Will be crowded as opposed to the past 5 years of empty seats. For all who have the good fortune to visit St. Lucie my sister in law works in the ticket office. Say Hi to Dianne. And my brother is an usher Ask and say hi to Mel. Maybe he can hook you up .? Dont know. But worth a shot? Enjoy..

Went with my son a few years back. I found the best time to get some autographs was to be at the Port St. Lucie complex after an away game when the team returns on the bus. We took in a few games at the Marlins/Cardinals Stadium in Jupiter and went back to PSL after the games. Kid got a face to faces with David Wright leaving the complex. Great time, great memories!

Things to do unrelated to baseball in Port St. Lucie: surely you jest.

I've gone to 7 or 8 Mets @ marlins/cards games and my observance is that the Mets don't play regulars too much in away games. Stick to Port St. Lucie to see your regular mets.

Hope you see my brother. I may have an ex wife down there. as well .I think she's the hitting coach..:baseball:

I saw an online report that said Thor looks absolutely filthy - more than anyone else. Developed a 4th pitch (cutter) that beaks about a foot in high 90s. Said he's already throwing 100s.

And Harvey's slider has been designated a WMD.I love spring training speak... Having said that we could have one starting staff in Queens that could be historic and a bullpen in the Bronx that may end up the same. A confluence of arms we may never have seen, especially in the same city. How's my spring training speak ?

A friend who is very knowledgeable on baseball claims the Yankee 7-8-9th inning relievers may be the best EVER. How's that for spring training speak?

Not as outlandish as it may sound, since in this case "ever" is only about 10-15 years. When did the concept of a "7th inning reliever" enter the baseball lexicon?
