Michael Douglas and Rutgers

Yup. He really was wearing an RU sweatshirt. It was kind of covered a bit because he was also wearing a jacket, but you could still see the Rutgers crest and some of the lettering above it.
Wore it during the scene where his family was moving into their new digs in the country after moving out of Manhattan, (post affair), and he and his father-in-law in the flick were bringing in some of the family's stuff.

Hate to say it but age and too many cocktails at the Melody is affecting your recall. I'm in the same boat but started doing the NYTimes crossword puzzle to prevent Melody/Rutgers/New Brunswick induced early dementia. So far, so ......how does the saying go?

Numbers, the scene where MD is wearing the RU sweatshirt is really short, at least in terms of the shot that showed him from an angle where you could catch a glimpse of his Rutgers shirt. It lasted only a few seconds, plus as I mentioned, he had a jacket over the sweatshirt so you could only see a portion of the University symbol and a few of the letters...something along the lines of "UTGER"...lol, so it's actually pretty easy to miss. -(And truthfully, I didn't catch it until about the 3rd time I watched the movie myself.)
