OP has a point though. $9M per year to finish third. Can't feel great.
So if they overpaid... what's the right price for losing to that staff 78-0? Or do we pretend that we never played that game?
Problem is people would want the 9million a year to come from big time donors which is not happening. Ticket prices are already high. Tough position to be in
Watching Harbaugh's sportsmanship and whining, and seeing Peppers taunting the Ohio State fans prematurely is priceless. Michigan fans have to be so proud.

UM has the $, so it's not a factor in their decision making. I believe they have the largest endowment of any public university too. Maybe when we get a full share of the B1G money?
Again Harbaugh is a do*che but we would love to have him. He's a proven winner. Also we would have loved Peppers to stay home & if a PSU homer bumped him & he pushed him we would get right behind him (like some apologists for RR).
Just stating facts disappointed in this season but we are part of the have nots. They (UM) have a better coach (time will tell & I'm not a CA hater) & they cherry picked the biggest recruits from NJ. It's called butt hurt.

Seriously though... RU fans should be the last to criticize other teams. Our team stunk real bad this year. We didn't even look like we belonged.
Everything you write is true. And they had a better coach and staff than us and cherry-picked NJ talent before their new $9M expenditure. Wonder if Partridge moves on to Ohio State if the Buckeyes offer more money? If Harbaugh came to Rutgers it would have to be pro bono.
Very well may be. College football & the NJ parochials aren't about fairness. It's about what can you do for me. I think Partridge is a prick like I'm sure you do. However if Toal, Hansen or Campanile were to be hired we'd embrace them. We are playing with the big boys & they do things differently. Just like the parochials do to the publics.
We can pout or try to play their game. Coach Ash stepped it up with his camp in direct response to JH. Need more lf that mentality.

I think we'll be fine but good advice. Perhaps you guys could drop a little more money and score a field goal next year against OSU, UM, MSU (LOL), or PSU. That'd be cool.
Forget the spot, there were at least 5 calls that were not called against OSU that were real head scratchers. A holding call in the 1st half was so blatant the Umpire and Referee should be investigated. The OSU tackle litterly pulled down the Mich. DT by the Jersey. I completely understand missing ticky-tack penalties but this was bad. Then there were at least 3 pass interference calls, one was so bad an OSU fan clinched his teeth in anticipation of a flag. Listen, Harbaugh is hated I get it but yesterday's game reeked of either terrible officiating or something far worse.

Hmmm. I hadn't considered that option. Can we just consider that loss vacated? Maybe self report a violation to support the vacate?
