Article on Injuries and Connor Cook's not so good day yesterday.

The Spartans, who have already lost linebacker Ed Davis and cornerback Vayante Copeland to season-ending injuries, lost standout tackle Jack Conklin to an apparent knee injury, although it's not clear how serious that is.

The injuries are beginning to mount for Michigan State. In addition to Conklin's issue, defensive back RJ Williamson was shaken up a couple times in the second half, and tight end Josiah Price was using crutches to support himself on the sideline toward the end of the game.

Their message board seems to indicate that some fans don't think that they are are a #2 team. Can see (but can't open threads).

Candidly, we do not deserve to be the No 2 team in the country . . .

Maybe we haven't been as good as we thought. Maybe Michigan has been better than we thoug

Calm Down (long)

Weak...

Let the bickering begin

7 Starters were out injured as of 2nd half (32% of team)

We have a bye next week.

MSU plays Purdue.

Tough call as to who has the more difficult Week 5 schedule.

We need the bye. Things will hopefully be quiet and maybe one of the off the field issues gets cleared up in the next 2 weeks (let's not derail this thread). Spend time on fundamentals, like lining up (Ouch). Clean up issues. Make a solid game plan to be competitive with Michigan State. Don't give up. Don't ever give up.

MSU will be looking ahead to UM when they play RU..Game maybe closer than the anticipated MSU 3TD favorite line..

MSU got #2 because they beat Oregon, however since then Oregon was blown out and people are now realizing that Oregon is not good. MSU is NOT the #2 team in the country, they are not that good defensively.

There are some questions with MSU. I actually saw a bit of the Oregon/Utah replay and Oregon's defense is bad. They have a very inexperienced secondary (sound familiar?) and they don't cover well and don't tackle well...reminded me of RU's secondary in 2013. Utah was way too physical for them. I still think MSU has a top 10 team...although injuries hurt them. They are going to be a heavy favorite at RU.

Is Cohen their defensive coordinator?

Something about MSU and whining about hurt players - Izzo does it all the time for basketball, in particular.

Oregon was embarrassed. Everyone slow your roll on Frost. Let him coach without Marriota for a year or two before he's made out to be the next big thing
