Hopefully they'll be looking past us to a ranked Michigan team......

Normally, I would think they wouldn't be looking past anyone with their less than stellar play and squeaking out wins. But, Michigan is not just another game. This is THE game of the year, every year, for them.
Even if the players do consider RU a cupcake of sorts, it may not make all that much of a difference if we cannot rattle their cage with some tough playing. I am hoping the bye week has given the coaching staff the time to develop a true plan of attack on both sides of the ball. If we come out and try to play this game like we have been, you may want to skip this board for awhile.

As to looking looking past us one of the papers had a story discussing how Michigan actually looks better than Michigan State right now. I have not watched either enough to know the merits of the discussion, but are people looking past us? Yeah I'd say that is an indicator.

Let's hope we rise to the occasion of being someone's trap game. I watched Michigan's game at UMd on Saturday and they were quite dominant (over a team that defeated them last season). Their defense seems to be well ahead of the offense at this point. And their lone loss at Utah is looking much better in the rear view mirror, given what the Utes have done since that opening game.

In the meantime, MSU has seemingly sleepwalked through most of their games, aside from Oregon. And it's our turn to win in a series in which no team has won two in a row.

Thanks for posting, the video of Calhoun was actually very good and sounded almost like a recruiting video for Rutgers. Seems like a great young man....well except for Saturday night, then he'll be a no good SOB;)

after reading the RJ Williamson injury article, I have increased hopes that we can damage MSU through the air.... yes, I know most are
hoping Hicks gets this much yardage, Martin, that..... but to really really have a chance to win this game I would like to see us
burn their secondary, which seems to have been devastated....

If I were King, I would do things in reverse order....establish the pass first, work the run in as needed.
