Maybe you didn't read my post closely enough? I said that for all of his natural talent, Smith was a disappointment last year. He has a ton of natural ability and when motivated he can be an excellent player. If you look at the events leading up to the draft, Smith was a big riser. He shredded about 20 pounds from his last season and performed at the senior bowl like he had a purpose. That continued at the combine. The only reason he was not a first round pick was because of what I was talking about... he did not perform up to his talent level.Because your best two players, Donovan Smith and Miles Dieffenbach, have moved on. Of course, you don't agree that Smith was your top olineman. It will be interesting to see if NFL scouts agree with you next year. My money says that Mangiro wouldn't be picked before Donovan Smith was last year; that's if he gets drafted at all.
BTW, Rivals may have only had Mangiro as a "3 star", but both Scout and 247 not only had him as 4 stars but in their Top 100 recruits. Kudos to Rivals on this one.
Mangiro is the opposite of Smith. He is not going to wow anyone physically but he is technically sound and a very smart player. As I stated earlier, he was forced to play four positions last year and did well at each. IMO, he has already lived up to his four star ranking. I don't expect for you to know much of anything about his performance so I'm glad I could help you out.
