Rice did nothing except coach. Sure he may have been OTT for some tastes, and I get that. But he was doing so in an open practice setting in front of people who were his "bosses". He paid his dues to them, but then...

Murdock ruined Rutgers for you. I don't know why that's so hard for people to understand. Eric Murdock's motivation was driven by greed and animus...not this purported love for the kids. Its a goddamned joke why so many fail to see/understand/overlook or just plain ignore who really is to blame here.

I was present for actions depicted in some of that video, yes. Didn't bother me then, still doesn't now.

No kids for JK and I, but I'd also have no problem letting Rice coach them if I did.

Didn't the Rice/Murdoch alliance start to disintegrate over some camp issue? I met a guy wearing a Rutgers cap a couple of years ago and started talking with him about the basketball team. I recollect him saying something about Murdoch being upset because Rice didn't want him to have his own basketball camp. Sorry, that's about all I remember. Can anyone add to that or is it totally fiction? Thanks...

I believe part of Murdock's job was to work at Rice's camp.
Murdock went to another camp ( nor his own) to instruct and that was without obtaining permission to miss Rice's camp . So when it was time for Murdock's contract to be renewed, it wasn't.

You are a idiot also. What is important is the fact that Rice abused his position as head coach by physically intimidating Rutger's student athletes. In my scenario, that would have included my Son. With that it would not matter to me what any one else believed or thought or felt or opinionated about Rice or about Murdock or about my reaction on my Son's behalf. I would commited my resources, including my right foot to showing the guy just how inappropriate his actions, tactics, mentality what ever, how big of a mistake he had made. And I damn sure would not have considered the thoughts of anyone defending the asshole.
But I said enough on this topic. Its done.

I'm a direct kind of guy my comments are exactly how I feel about caring for our team.
I would much rather comment about our current staff and or players from any era since the Littlepage era I believe lasted two years. Its gonna be fun when we start winning.
