Mon Jan 2: HUGE BOWL DAY: 1p Wisc v West Mich, 1p Iowa v Fla, 5p USC v PSU, 8 Okla v Auburn

Iowa misses another red zone opportunity, missing a short FG, still 10-3 Florida.

Yeah Iowa could have had this game, blown opportunities, gonna be tough if they let Gators score again here.

Man that's a TOUGH offensive PI call. The call was 5-yards past the intended receiver and the ball in the air. No way in hell that gets called in conference play.

Another call goes WMU's way on the Wisc 1st down being penalized.

Wisco picks one off in the red zone. uh ohl

I'm not convinced UW did that. I think Fleck/Ciarocca made offensive adjustments and this is the result.

Wiscy moved very well before the awful PI, got it back and scored easily, so I'm not so sure it's about "adjustments." WMU is simply running right up the gut, which is very surprising, and taking advantage of soft coverage by Wiscy's DB's. On top of it Wiscy's D, somehow, hasn't gotten any of the 4 fumbles they've forced.

Wiscy's DB's, for whatever reason, have played very soft coverage today. I get they don't want to get burned by the big guy but com'on. Tighten up and challenge them a little.

Wow, UW DB has a mental fart and doesn't make the easy bat down allowing the WM WR to catch the ball. Horrendous DB play. WM misses the XP 24-16

#84 just mugged #0 on that play. How the **** is that not called? There was a blatant offensive PI on the drive, as well, that resulted in a 1st down on 3rd and 5, that wasn't called either.

I know you guys are terribly annoyed by him, but Fleck's the real deal. He's done a lot with very little. I've been to Kalamazoo & Waldo Stadium (though it hasn't been since the Cubit years), and though they're not shabby, they are absolutely nothing compared to what we have. And here they are smashing Wisconsin in the teeth playing hardnosed football and competing. I still think they'll lose this game, but they're not too shabby.

I agree. I wonder if Hobbs gave Fleck a phone call to see if he wanted to interview ? I don't remember the details.
Also, WMU RB Jamauri Bogan of Union HS, might be the best RB on the field . I'm pretty sure RU and many other P5 schools never offerred over his height.

I have zero issues with Fleck and his program. I've actually been a staunch supporter of him, however, IMHO Wiscy got that quick 14-0 lead and fell asleep for about 2 quarters. That last drive, again, a little lucky with the fumbles and non-calls IMHO, however, they got it done.

Wow, Wisconsin alums who laid th 8 1/2 probably not happy Chryst taking a knee instead of the easy TD and covering the spead.
Classy move for this and putting in the 5th year senior QB and letting him throw a pass.
Hats off to the Rowers.

Florida's kicker is insane. He's put 3 KO's THROUGH the uprights and nailed a 77-yard FG in warmups today.

That's right ESPN...Penn State was the real victims in this...

WTF?!?!?!

I can't believe a couple of the things I just heard:

B1G Championship Game Announcer: "Welcome back to Camelot!" at game's end

At least 2 PSU players interviewed: "I came here for everything that Penn State stands for..."....WOW....[sick]

Penn St is a 7 point underdog.
Penn St QB Trace McSorley has 25 TD passes / 5 interceptions

I would imagine most RU Sports fans know about McSorleys:

McSorley was 8-23 vs Ohio State. USC hits him a few times.

For all that the PSU fans have been through, this is a cathartic experience for them? WTF kind of statement is that? Wonder how cathartic it is for the victims?
