Mulcahy should start at PG

if we need to him to contribute significant minutes at PG, we will finish last in the B1G.
We do not need him to contribute significant minutes he has Geo and Jacob ahead of him at the point. However, when he does come in and continues to show that he can handle the point , be our best passer , and the only guard that feeds the post then the minutes he is on the floor will only help us. Plus if teams go zone , he can go to the middle of the zone and either take that 12-15 foot shot or dish to the wings which should be open. He has already done that very effectively but against teams that are not in our conference.

Paul doesn’t have to start to be effective, nor does he have to score very much.

He needs to show a willingness to take the open 3. If he sinks, say, one of three from deep, takes it to the rim for another 2 and otherwise gets to the line for 2 FTs, he’ll contribute a modest 7 points to go along with his assists and being a floor leader. We can win with a PG like that, especially if he doesn’t turn it over.

Btw, last night in 25 minutes for Iowa, Bohannon was 0-4 shooting, had 0 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 0 turnovers in a game Iowa won by 20 points over Minny.
