Way too many FO titles and clay is essentially an irrelevant surface. He is the greatest on clay, but probably not even in the top 10 on the more important surfaces.Thankfully pulled that out after blowing the break in the 3rd. 1 behind Fed (19-20).
You are nuts. Grass is way more irrelevant than clay.Way too many FO titles and clay is essentially an irrelevant surface. He is the greatest on clay, but probably not even in the top 10 on the more important surfaces.
GOAT Rankings (modern era):
1. Federer
2. Borg (retired at 26, overall talent was unmatched until Federer)
3. Djokovic (chance at overtaking Federer)
4. Sampras (no career slam, but dominated tennis for a decade)
5. Nadal
Wimbledon (and grass) is by far the most important and historic tourney in tennis. Just like the Masters for golf. You are nuts. Grass is way more irrelevant than clay.
I am a Federer fan and always want him to beat Nadal, but I respect and like Nadal too...seems like a decent guy and he's a great competitor. Happy he beat the Russian. And I am Russian...I don't want to see them win anything right nowI’m bummed. Respect the hell out of Nadal, but just do not like the guy. Was rooting hard for Medvedev to complete the comeback. Great match.
It may be the most prestigious according to many, but there's also like 5? 6? Grass tourneys during the year including Wimbledon. All the rest are hard court and to a lesser extent clay. All grand slams carry the same amount of points and are equal in terms of rankings.Wimbledon (and grass) is by far the most important and historic tourney in tennis. Just like the Masters for golf.

If I ever need an advocate I'm hiring T2K. He is relentless.Way too many FO titles and clay is essentially an irrelevant surface. He is the greatest on clay, but probably not even in the top 10 on the more important surfaces.

If Nadal wins another irrelevant French Open, I'm dropping him from the top 5! :)If I ever need an advocate I'm hiring T2K. He is relentless.
With French Open 2020 (20 what!) right around the corner right now one has to assume Fed will likely finish at best tied with Nadal in all-time majors. Which somehow feels right. And somehow Djokovic will ultimately end up at 20 himself.
I'm at the point now where I say they're all awesome and go on my way.
This era is unreal. Top three players will have 55-60 GS Titles...
That's unbelievable
I would have loved to see Federer in his prime against the other two.It really is. Can you imagine if the other 2 weren’t there right now? The other guy would have more gold than Midas.

Djok is 5 years younger, which is ages for tennis. Federer's play at Wimbledon just shows how remarkable the old man is.Feels like we are. Wimbledon ‘19 was vintage Fed to me - Djokovic just beat him.
Nadal with 3 more slams and 1 more US Open easily puts him ahead of Djokovic as we speak. With that said, I give the Djoker the edge to take the all time GS crown. Think Fed wins 1 more Wimbledon, and Rafa at least another couple slams with his FO dominance.
Sadly, I agree. Sooner or later, father time wins.I’m afraid Fed is done as a threat in majors. Got smacked around in Cincinnati this summer and at US Open. That Wimbledon final loss may have been the beginning of the end.

Are you really that dumb to ask the question.
Nadal played Federer when Fed was in his prime. Look it up!
Fed has won the past 5 out of 6 and now has the lead on hard courts and grass. Nadal is the best ever on clay, but who cares about that?https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federer–Nadal_rivalry
Out of respect, I was going to grant Fed the GOAT mantle a bit longer, but since Fed has been past his prime the past few years, we can deduct those recent 7 of 8 whoops, and easily hand the GOAT title to Nadal now. :)

I would say if you're French or Spanish you'd say the French is the most prestigious.
