Nc state vs Rutgers!

I don’t disagree with anything you guys are saying but should the solution be “I’m not going or watching”? Doesn’t that just add to the problem?
This is like blaming the victim. Why are season ticket sales decreasing? What are Goodale and the acting AD planning to do about it? Do they even care? Your answer seems to be that we, the consumers of a product, put up with whatever crappy product is offered to us. No, that's not how the world works. If you want us to show up then offer us a decent product. This isn't that hard.

The problem is you’re sending the message to the wrong people. Goodale whether you like him or not is at the forefront of the grow the sport mentality. He’s candid about everything and has advocated for a lot of things to help grow the support, such as a dual tournament. The people you should be mad at are guys coaches who keep things top secret, duck opponents, etc.
Again, I disagree. The person responsible for the problem that I have described, a crappy home dual schedule, is Goodale. He is the one causing this particular problem as he is responsible for the schedule. You are describing a fundamentally different problem.

Don’t Goodale say in a preseason interview he wanted to have the match at Jersey Mikes but there were outside things preventing them from doing that?

Bro you can do whatever you want. I don’t care. But if you want to watch college wrestling, I don’t see how boycotting the sport makes any sense. And if that’s your solution, don’t complain when it goes away.

Is the match on Rockfin
No, some UFC fight pass thing a ma jid streaming site. You can find the link on page 1 by @LetsGoRUwrestling. Its only $2.99 for the month which I will only watch today and then figure out how to cancel.

As to the sports future vitality. It's going to die a slow death. Schools will have no choice but to keep up with Jonze's(SEC) who don't sponsor the sport.

Bormet's plea says alot and he's obviously very passionate about the sport. How many other coaches have taken the time to script a response such as this? He wants people in their gym. Rutgers chose to book a paltry home schedule just like two years ago then adds a south NJ match? That's two of three years with a bad home schedule and not a good way to retain and build a fanbase.

I don't know what went into some of our scheduling, other than I thought someone mentioned NCST wasn't interested in coming to the RAC, so we signed up for a close neutral site event, as it's better than nothing. Goodale isn't ducking anyone and has been at the forefront of the grow the sport movement and emphasizing dual meets. If NCST was willing to wrestle us at the RAC, then that's where it would've been.

I hope they sell out the 3k seats and everyone buys the UFC fight pass to stream it. Some people have a breaking point and don't want to spend more $ after buying season tickets and the 15 other streaming services they already have. And some aren't interested in driving over an hour or jumping on a train to go to Toms River, Newark, Trenton, or MSG. We'd have over 5K if this was at the RAC.

Man, I'm sorry SCNJ. I have a lot of respect for you and I enjoy your posts and insights. I don't understand how you do not seem to be able to understand my point.

I am a wrestling season ticket holder. I donate to the the TKR collective. I donate directly to the wrestling program. Why is it on me to keep consuming a product no matter how crappy that product is?

Only the NC State dual teams will be streamed. I guess our only option for LIU is Twitter updates.

Watching now Princeton vs NC State. They are not showing the Rutgers vs LIU match. Is NC State in control of this or can they only afford one camera? The place is tiny and its either a late arriving crowd or it's not even close to full.

I understand your point completely but it’s a two way street. Yes, the people inside the sport have to do more to grow it, but the fans have to do their part as well. If you’re buying tickets, you’re doing your part. If you stop, regardless of the reason, it’s not going to help.

You’re free to make that choice though, if you don’t like the product then don’t contribute. I don’t know what the answer is from the fan perspective, but that doesn’t solve any of the problems you’re looking to solve.

Not the reason he lost as that's on him for wresting like a dipsh*t, but why was he even wrestling against LIU?

Should have been a good warm up for him and we need to be able to wrestle multiple matches in a day.

Again, that's not the point. He made a choice to participate in this event in Toms River. He could have chosen instead to host a dual at the RAC with a local opponent.
I would rather the team wrestle NC state in an airplane hanger in Alaska then watch them wrestle Gardner Webb at the RAC. One is better for the wrestlers and the other is better for the fans. If coach is having by to make that choice I’m ok with him doing what’s best for the kids on the team

Someone probably already posted this, but is this match (match 1) being streamed anywhere? I can't find it.

god forbid they make it easy on everyone and stream through one of the major providers that most people have such as ESPN+, Flo, etc..

The MBB, WBB, and WVB are all off today. Is someone else using the arena that precluded a home wrestling match? $$$$

Hopefully Dean shakes off his poor earlier performance and is ready to go because Vincent Robinson is wrestling at high level right now.

Peterson historically has had trouble rebounding from losses. Hopefully he’s able to do so today.
