Didn't see that one coming, especially with UN playing back-to-back days with only 6 guys. Just our luck we ran into a hot team on a mission. FWIW, MD is ranked and lost by one more point than we did.

I missed it. How much time did Palmer spend on the foul line?

If Rutgers had a scorer like Parker, their won/loss record would have been far better and they would have defeated Nebraska or had a first round bye.

When you have seniors like Palmer and Watson - who have cajones - and who are playing for a pro contract somewhere - the will to earn the contract can not be overlooked. Corey Sanders esque from last year.

So, are we better off with Tim Miles keeping his job or with him being replaced? We're moving up the totem pole, improving yearly... Nebraska is a team, along with Northwestern and a few others, that may fall to/stay at the bottom of the conference. What Miles job status benefits us?

Wow, thats crazy. How the hell did fernando not just completely take this game over?

Third year in a row that our team is one and done in the Big Ten Tournament. We can do better. Ha ha, our melting board is already calling for Gary Williams to coach next week, and for Buzz Williams from Va Tech to come over next year...

You think turgeon could get canned?

No, I don't think so. It's always easy for us to gnash our teeth, but much harder to go out and find the right coach at the right time.

On the other hand, they had the same thing to the nth power in lacrosse and did actually go out and find somebody better about 8-9 years ago...

Maryland would have played better, bigger, against us..... would have been tough to get past them

I will say that I was nervous about Nebraska, who gave the Terps a tough game both times earlier in the season...

FT's, Maryland, 19-23. Nebraska, 13-19. Palmer, Watson, Roby, 24-19-15. Fernando and Smith for Maryland, 11 points combined, normally 23/game.

Good for Nebraska. Makes me laugh at the jackasses melting down on this board last night. I wonder how many MD fans are calling for Turgeon to resign.

Turgeon was always one of the worst coaches in the league. Ask the Maryland fan base. His recruiting saves him and he’s one of the best at that. He does less with more better than anyone since Tom Crean.

Personally I don't think he's one of the worst, but I think he's in the bottom half...

Nebby was tough on D against us, almost impenetrable and tough to get a good look from the arc. And despite their lack of scholly depth, they had a couple of the best players on the court.

I wondered whether they might upset MD, and I reserved my comments about last night until seeing what Nebraska did next.

Yes, we still could have beaten them, but throughout the game they never let us get comfortable or on a good enough run to ever put them away. In the end, with their star players unafraid to foul out, they took over and pulled away.

A&M is all over Buzz Williams right now....good luck outbidding the oil money in Texas.....and Buzz is from Texas so it's home for him.
