Thirteen members of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs of GFWC were presented a proclamation at the Aug. 2 City Council meeting, according to a statement.

The group was recognized with a resolution in recognition of the 100th anniversary of their founding of The New Jersey College for Women, now known as Douglass Residential College.

Of course, NJC really WAS a college and Douglass hasn't really been a college since the 1981 reorganization and not one at all since McCormick finished the job, but the Douglass programs have proved invaluable to thousands of people over the years. Douglass programs without a separate college, thereby open to ALL Rutgers University women, is a huge plus for RU.
