Chris Ludlum, a 6’ 6” transfer from Harvard who grew up inBrooklyn, is back in the portal. He had committed to the Vols but decided they were not for him. He averaged over 18 points per game for the Crimson and was a plus shooter, defender and rebounder. He would more than replace Paul or Caleb. Maybe he wants to come home? Should hoops recruit him?

Hell yeah they should...this guy looks more fluid on the court than perez from west Virginia. Williams is said to be coming here and looks fluid on the court as well but Ludlums jumper looks better and has more height.

Prob find his way to NE school with deep pockets. Saw somewhere since St. John’s is full they plan to entice him with a walk on spot with a huge NIL deal.

If we want ace and Dylan I don’t see us pursuing unless he’ll accept a scholly and a decent package instead.

He looks like a less athletic, less quick, version of Ron Harper Jr. He doesn't look athletic or quick enough to have his style of gameplay translate to P5 IMO. Combine that with a 29% 3PT percentage...and I think we have better options.

Good find - but Caleb is pretty irreplaceable.

Its getting late for better options that want to play for Rutgers taking into consideration NIL offers.

True. But I'm factoring in that the kid will want some serious PT if he comes. He's a senior. So I'm saying that we have better options already in the fold for those minutes. If he wants to come as a reserve, and we have the extra bag of cash lying around for him, then sign him up. But I don't think that's the situation.

I agree with the Ron Harper comparison but to me he looks a little better than you are saying. I would take a shot here and play him as a 3-4. We have big questions at both spots with Mag injury and GG being a freshman.

I can see the RHJ comparisons. Big body. Doesn’t get you with quickness but makes methodical moves and hard to stop due to his size.

And agree doesn’t seem as quick or athletic

I’ll defer others whether he’s a good take. But averaging 18 at Harvard and Tennessee wanted him. Doesn’t seem like a slouch ;)

Agreed. No way a 3 pt shooter from the Ivy League becomes best defensive player in the game. He also said he would replace a really good P5 passer. If we’re lucky he can replace Cam. Not sure why that comparison wasn’t made but that I could live with.
