Next year's game @ SHU

I wonder whether there will be as much interest next year if SHU takes a step back from losing four seniors. I mean, it’s still a big rivalry and all, but if SHU is a middle of the pack team, will there be enough juice such that they can draw more than 10,000?

I’m just asking the question. I happen to think the answer is YES, especially with RU ticking up under Pike, so we can bring 4-5k fans ourselves.

Does yesterday's hyped game and RU win crossover to the general hoops fan in NJ?

Will there be people wearing RU gear at todays Philly @ Giants game today?

If they open top level we'd def take at least 6k. We had 3k or so there last year (looked like 30% of crowd was in red to me anyway).

With heightened RU fan interest, do you think the curtains at The Rock get pulled up like they do for their games vs Villanova?

Can RU get 6k traveling fans 25 miles North?

Haha, it's not even traveling that far. I would think more of us than not live in North Jersey and have a shorter drive to the Pru than the RAC. No excuse not to send a large contingent! They better open the top.

I was at the game at the PRU last year. We definitely had about 30%. For the entire first half RU fans were louder than SHU fans. It really wasn't until the last 10 minutes or so that the SHU fans really got loud. The game was still only 2 points until the 2:29 mark. SHU made I think 8 foul shots in the last minute. I think next year we will have a great chance to win again. SHU losing 4 senior starters is a huge hit. Thompson doesn't rebound nearly like Delgado. Rodriguez is their high scorer and Carrington was their top scorer last year and Sanogo is by far their best defensive player. I just don't think their replacements can make up for all the scoring they will lose. If we should win there next December SHU will really be shaken. Some of their fans just keep saying that Pikiell will be gone soon. They really are worried. They realize how good he is as well as our entire staff.
