NIT 1 Seeds Announced.....Bracket at 8:30 on ESPNU

I know, but show the Big Ten can play a little. Or what if I say Nebraska?

Presuming the Final 4 is good, I always go to MSG to watch it. Plus the rule changes will go into effect this year - have no idea if that;s good or bad.

Georgia had earlier announced that they would not accept a bid. This was by player vote after their coach was fired. The AD honored the players' decision. Whether Georgia actually got a bid, or would have gotten one, we do not know.

I'm surprised Temple received a bid, but Colorado was left out.
BYU was the lowest (6) seed among the at-large selections. Therefore I assume that BYU was the last team in. Temple was a 5.

The NIT is a 32 team field, but there were only 21 at-large selections. The other 11 were auto qualifiers as regular season conference champions. Making the NIT is tougher than it used to be.

Remember the days you could qualify at 16-15 :)
Yup. And there were no fixed brackets and no seeding. After each round, the committee got together and decided who they wanted to win in the next round. RU was occasionally the beneficiary of this process! CIT still uses this format.

Since it's not worth a separate thread I'll put this here. CBI has announced its 16 team field. No teams from the big six conferences or even the high-mid majors. I guess the consensus is that CBI is beneath the dignity of the big boys. This is NOT the model that their organizers had envisioned.

even at 17-15, they had a strong rpi of 52, thats hard to ignore..sos was 13...quality wins over Clemson, Auburn and Wichita State
