NJIT 83 St John's 74

and this was a program that was 0 fer for a long time....in the past 2 years they have wins at SJU and Michigan. Don't let anyone fool you that you cant coach your way out of an abyss

But BAC I bet NJIT has 4 kids who can make a three? What do we have, maybe two? As Patrick says we need shooters.

So ... Besides NJIT, Seton Hall, Monmouth and Princeton ... Anyone else in NJ better than RU?

There is a faction of media members enamored with Chris Mullin....Mullin has unlimited funds and support from their high paying alumni, capable of getting most top 100 recruits in their wheelhouse. At some point, over the last 15 years, you would think they would make a decent coaching hire, the jury is still out on what's missing right now.

On the other hand, SJU didn't have a talent issue under Lavin, they had a scheme and lack of defense they didn't play most nights.....Cuse is not the same without some typical pieces they usually have and may be having an off year. SJU will probably be better next year, assuming their recruits eventually get eligible.

I don't have a clue on what Mullin is trying to run on offense and they don't play good defense.....not as porous as RU most nights, but not much better.

Hawk,

Had a conversation with a pretty high up AAU guy a couple weeks back. I am 100% sold Mullin gets it done at SJU. Not because he can coach although he might turn out to be good, too early to tell). Rather Anyone with "juice" in NYC AAU circles idolizes the guy. These guys Grew up wearing Mullin jerseys, going to MSG to watch him play, etc. They worship Chris.

He is getting "walked in" to big time recruits like no one I have ever seen. And he has Rohrsen. Always liked SJU and always thought Lavin was a clown. Mullin is big time.

How pathetic isn't that RU the state university can't beat St. John's, Monmouth, and most likely NJIT

Pathetic
