No. 11 Wrestling At 2025 Big Ten Championships

Hardy is way too quick for Oliveri he's going to get smoked. I do not like how the ref allows Hardy to ride paralle for over a minute and not even try to work with no stall.

Because of his consolation bye, Harer will secure a bid at nationals if he wins his next match. Will likely face Brandon Cannon from OSU. They didn’t face each other in the dual as Harer faced Sasso and kept it tight.

If Harer loses he will have to wrestle back for 9th for the possibility of an at large.

Damn Cannon is sneakily good, and the Ohio s staff felt it was the right move to go with him over Sasso. I really hope Harer can qualify his first season..

Olivieri and Clark will both face the winner of the 12/13 consolation.

Clark would be an NQ with a win.

Olivieri would need to win that match, and then win 1 of his next 2 after that. He will likely be the higher seed in all of those matches.

Cannon knocks off the #1 seed so Harer is actually going to face Ethen Miller who majored Harer this year

Damn I knew Cannon was good, Miller shoulda never got the 1 seed I guess their plan of ducking the last match backfired against them.

White will face the 8 seed Maxx Mayfield. He will secure a bid with a win.

If he loses, he enters a bracket for 9th. Winning that bracket would get him a bid. 10th place could get him an at large.

Independent review? That's a new one for me. Basically, Maryland told the ref we don't like your judgement and want someone else to look.

What a stupid way to lose Yara. Ref allowed the Michigan kid to defend the entire match as it was 6 shots to 0. Two slaps at the thigh does not constitute offense.

He looked defeated at the end. Either shoulder issue or was more gassed then JH.

****ing bullshit call
That was fleeing the mat, my problem, the ref should not have let the disparity in shots go with only one stall. When one guy dominates all the shooting, more than one stall is called for. Heindselman's entire offense consisted of two slaps to the thigh, meanwhile Yara tried 6 attempts.

That's my problem with the ref, Yara did all the work while Heindselman did nothing but try and counter. You know the aggressor always gets tired first and the ref rewarded him for passivity. In heavyweight you don't call stalling if they take a couple shots but if you take none, well you should be penalized. It's like he hit him with one stall in the 2nd and said that's good enough, when over the next 3 mins. he tried nothing except playing bull in the ring.

After session 1:

Peterson - alive, NQ
Shawver - alive, NQ

1 win away:
Clark - needs to beat #13
Harer - needs to beat #1 (L H2H)
White - needs to beat #8 (0-2 career H2H)
Turley - needs to beat #12 (L H2H)
SCW - needs to beat #8 (W H2H)
Yara - needs to beat #12 (W H2H)

2 wins away:
Olivieri - needs to beat #12 (W H2H), and then win 1 of next 2

Still alive with a loss:
White - would need to win 9th place bracket
Yara - would need to get to finals of 9th place bracket

9th place is disappointing, but 2 in the semis!
Illinois has 6 -SIX - in the semis.

Yara is medically forfeiting out of the tournament. I’m guessing he messed up his shoulder.

Not sure what happens to him now. He’ll fall to the 9th place bracket and top 10 get auto bids. 11th place can get an at large spot but technically if he doesn’t wrestle he’ll be slated as 12th.

Ugh, this isn't going to be or look so good. 197 backup and now Hwt out, we'll be lucky to take top 10.

I thought consolations were on BIg ten + at 6:00. I don’t see it
It's all fvcked up. Go to event calendar at the top click it, scroll down to 6 pm you'll see the tournament click it, then find mat. They only had a year to figure this out.

Mat 2 for Oliveri

No doubt he’ll get at large. And I understand what you’re saying as far as being 1 outside qualifying spot, but that’s only one thing they look at. Starocci injury defaulted 2 matches last year and got at large. Yara resume should be no brainer

Oliveria wins while looking at the clock for the last 1:30 4-2
Clark dominates and wins 7-1

I just don't get these decisions when it comes to Harer. His only chance is to turn him he has no offense from neutral. We pick neutral and not one shot.
