Kids wrestled really gritty and tough today…was great to see
Dammit.... No qualms though... The entire team left it ALL on the mat!!

Great dual meet. Our guys wrestled with a lot of guts and left their hearts out there. We didn't get the win but a lot was gained from that performance. Kudos to Goody for getting them prepped this weekend. They looked great.
That is my favorite almost win of all. Overall, the guys did great against a top team. Peterson is wrestling as he should and is capable. Shawver showed signs of last year. Hermes was thrown to the wolves - didn't matter who we had in. Harer did great and showed his potential. Barbosa was the right choice for tonight as was Walsh. Turley spent too much time defending. Poz, great win. Yara-Slav took one shot and was taken down. He has to show offense or won't have any chance of AA again. Team far exceeded expectations. Congratulations to Goodale for a great showing.
Like I said previously, if SCW gets a little faster, tightens up his offense and gets a little stronger he will be a multiple time AA for this program.i got him winning at least 2 bouts at NCAAs maybe even AAing.
No issues with the attempt either. Feldman is super athletic for a heavy so you have to connect or else he’ll make you pay unfortunately.
If the team wrestles like that going forward plus getting Joey O in the line up there isn’t anyone they can’t beat outside of PSU.
I don’t have cable. I pay for BTN+ and share a cable login for matches on TV. Fox Sports literally shut the feed off for the match in the 3rd period. I have no idea why.
I agree as well. I thought RU was aggressive throughout — and better to see him go down on a missed shot than losing on his heels.
I also still feel bad about the 149. He just looked so much better than the OSU guy. The 30 second periods are like penalty kicks in soccer. I would rather see a referee decision like we used to have in high school back in my day.
The question is ,what happens with Soldano now? He cant Red shirt. Do you think he will stay or up and leave? I would hope he would stay and try to move to 174 or bump to 197 for next year.
Depends if he wants to or cares about starting.. 174 will be open next year and makes the most sense.. if he doesn’t want to cut as some has indicated then he can try for 184 spot again next year I guess…. Team wise, best if he attempted 174 but yeah if he can’t then it is what it is.
It's pretty amazing he is back and wrestling. Dude had a bullet pierce his colon and has rods/screws in his back. I was happy to see him take the mat.

Poz has 1 year left but he told me he is not sure he will come back and wrestle as he will already have his masters
