Yeah I agree but we’ve only wrestled like 4 dates so far. It’s basically been our preseason, aside from the UNC fiasco. Army we should beat but it’ll probably be the toughest test so far. They’re pretty good at 149-174 which is where we’re at our weakest.
Yea been a pretty easy first month. RU did try and schedule Lehigh and NC State this weekend but it did not work out. Since RU could not get either of those matches the American match was scheduled. Looking forward to Army, a couple good matchups.

Good to know they tried to schedule tougher matches and it just didn't work out. Was hoping American wasn't a match we sought out and more of one we had to settle for to keep kids on the mat.
I watched Penn battle PSU at the Palestra last night and would 100% be on board with wrestling Penn on regular basis moving forward. They're an up and comer and RU fans would pack the Palestra for road matches.
Penn recruiting will impact Princeton much more than us.IMO
Penn, like Princeton, will always get a lot of top recruits (especially from the private schools in NJ) given the prestige of the schools especially being at the top of the Ivy league in terms of academics in undergraduate\graduate studies. Now that Penn is heavily investing in their program/RTC they will attract even more talent. This will directly impact Princeton moreso than us, but it's not ideal any way you slice it. With that being said, nothing we can off the mat will ever let us compete with those schools academically, but the best thing we can do is compete against them and continue to beat them on the mat.
This is the second time they've done this. Does all mighty, unrivaled psu not have a backup heavyweight? Why not get someone some mat experience. People pay for the pleasure to watch these wrestling matches why not indulge them even if it's a backup? Nothing worse than watching someone get their hand raised do to a forfeit,
Yes forfeits are terrible for the sport. Football lets you play in 4 games and that does not count as a year.....Wrestling needs something like that. Cary Kolats idea is backups can wrestle in as many matches per year but can only enter 4 conference tournaments in their 5 years...This would absolutely cut down on FF(of course you need to let more than 3 back ups travel to away meets).
