Simply terrible. .it was extremely popular to get the fans excited...and the whole pre game failed to generate any excitement..why on earth would they downplay the horse

Yeah, terrible move changing it & getting rid of most of it. Entire pregame was weak.
Bring back the horse video from prior years. It was great and got everybody excited. The pregame was pathetic today. Very flat, no energy and no excitement.... kind of like the team today.

Nothing was as good as the horse retirement video from a number of years ago. I wish I had a copy.
Hopefully someone from Hobbs office checks this forum and will see that WE WANT THE HORSE VIDEO!!!

yes, the real one is a continuation of the video..... visiting fans are most impressed.... I always thought it was a nice touch and they should bring it back.... if we had something better, sure, do that.... but right now it was a mistake to get rid of it.

Shameful that they did away with something that has already become iconic with visiting Big Ten fans.
Obviously a lot of people considering how many have responded to this thread.
The flaming towers will be cool for a night game- but the visual effect is minimal in the bright sunlight as are the fireworks. I also agree the video was our trademark around the conference- especially since now after each TD/FG the horse appears similar to USC's Traveler.
i can't imagine anybody not liking the Horse Video.
Outraged that they didn't show the horse video. Our live scarlet knight horse is the one thing that gives our game atmosphere an authentic college football feel. And the video is a great way to introduce the horse.

Horse video was very cool. In this era of the popularity and cutting edge of Game of Thrones, should use horse and Knight imagery to RU's advantage as much as we can. No brainer!
I am not sure if this was Ashs or Hobbs choice but as many have said everyone liked it and its nice to have something unique and the home team and oppsing fans enjoy. People saying who cares forget that this is all ENTERTAINMENT meant to ENTERTAIN fans. I dont see why there is this need to change anything and everything from prior regime that nothing to do with product on the field.
I've spoken to and heard numerous visiting fans say how much they liked the video and these are fans from schools that don't get impressed that easily. My guess is there was some sort of technical or logistical issue with the pregame production and that it will be back next week.

How about do another version of the horse video and make it even better. I liked the old one, but I always thought they could have shown better scenes of campus. If you know the campus, it was not a big deal, but for visiting fans it's a chance to see the more appealing areas of campus. I'd even consider labels for each campus -- Cook, Douglass, Livingston, College Ave, Busch -- show Old Queens more prominently, Silent WIllie, Bishop Beach, Passion Puddle, Voorhees Chapel, Waksman, Livingston Business School -- those are iconic. Last shota are crossing the river -- On the Banks of the Old Raritan up to the First Game Statue-- and into the stadium. Et Voila'.
Chill Broheim, fans talk about everything. We aren't players or coaches so spending our time talking about this stuff has no impact on the games. Not sure you were aware of that.
