no more horse video

How about do another version of the horse video and make it even better. I liked the old one, but I always thought they could have shown better scenes of campus. If you know the campus, it was not a big deal, but for visiting fans it's a chance to see the more appealing areas of campus. I'd even consider labels for each campus -- Cook, Douglass, Livingston, College Ave, Busch -- show Old Queens more prominently, Silent WIllie, Bishop Beach, Passion Puddle, Voorhees Chapel, Waksman, Livingston Business School -- those are iconic. Last shota are crossing the river -- On the Banks of the Old Raritan up to the First Game Statue-- and into the stadium. Et Voila'.

agree....I love the original one but they probably couul tweak it a bit and get more RU campus scenes in while improving the production..but its simply mind boggling that they woud ditch something so popular. It had no connotation with the Flood era unlike say that awful Wolf of Wall Street song

Agree that we could do even better with the around campus shots....

.. It is also important to have a good sequence of the ride into and through the tunnel, where the music should get serious and built up.

For me the waiting for the horse to emerge is the coolest part... Play that up.

And if it is brought back please film another version AT NIGHT.

Always thought it was bush league to have the knight supposedly racing across campus to get to the stadium on a bright sunny day to emerge from the tunnel for a night game.

Last year, for the first game, it also was not played (or not in its entirety). Hopefully this was another hiccup like last year and it will be back next year.

Too much time between the horse running on the field and the team coming out of the tunnel. Should be no more than a minute or 2. Last year I timed it twice and put it at 7 minutes one time and 5 minutes another. Music gets the crowd going then the video then you wait an eternity for the team to enter. Needs to be scripted for one build up vs 3

though the horse, songs, uniforms are less important for me then recruiting, coaching ..progress on field..
I do think the Horse video and horse should be returned as part of RU TRADITION.

lets worry about getting better on field, recruiting, coaching..less about Horse videos, hot dogs.uniform colors. .We are in B10...last I checked.

Yes we are B1G, and B1G schools have traditions. They matter. And that's what this thread is all about. RU has its traditions as well, some damned good ones, and we're commenting on the ones that weren't apparent last Saturday. I'm glad that so many here care about them. Tradition is a big part of what makes college football so special and differentiates it from the pros.

I was wondering about the mounted Scarlet Knight and the video. I thought perhaps the heat was the reason why there was no knight and horse. I saw no video and was there well before the kickoff, so whatever short thing they may have done attracted no attention around us.

Like many here, I agree that the dramatic entrance of the knight on the heels of the video is the best intro we've ever had. Ash and Hobbs need to know this, or hear it from us if they don't know this. It's our Script Ohio by TBDBITL! Different but still a signature event to get everyone into full game mode.

Took the Rutgers survey on Saturday's game day experience...yes , we missed the horse video...we missed an opportunity to continue something most enjoyed I'm sure.

Loved the horse video as well thought it was clearly the best pregame moment at Rutgers games. Yes they could improve it but we brought fans from other schools to the games and they were most impressed with that video.

Horse video was a nice touch. Also, seemed like the team ran out earlier than usual and the stadium was even less full and not many were ready for it. No buildup or excitement at all. Howard wound up running out after us when the Wolf of Wall St song was going and they were loving it. Made no sense.

Agreed, if so..... I thought there were a number of times where the video ended and the horse came right out, but they may have messed it up now and then..... It would seem an easy thing to time it just about perfect
Without much effort.
